You can also buy brown leather storage books , they’re like a photo album and you can just put the disks in a sleeve ,
I did that because the cases take up so much room,
I labelled mine by genre and then alphabetically, lmao yeh I’m that person 😂😂
I think the reason your unhappy with the living room is that the pink couch doesn’t match the neutral and orange vibes from the dining room! Other than that couch the colour scheme of neutrals, darks and orange pops flows between the two areas really well. The couch just throws it off a bit! I am in love with the dining room by the way!!

For the DVD issue, maybe you can put them in baskets or place covers in front of them? Either way, I think it looks so good in there now.

We moved into our flat in January, bedroom , lounge, bathroom done . Kitchen halfway but hall is my last but wish I had done it earlier because I'm getting bored of decorating and I feel it's not going to get as much care as it should. I really like the white shelves in your dining room! I’d worry that the darker cabinets would make the room look smaller. I love the current brightness of the room. A couple of comments below someone suggested that you could buy brown storage containers to pop your DVDs in which I think would be fab xx

You should make the cabinet (the one with art supplies) into a bar. It would be quite cool in a dining room. Especially if you have dinner parties. So you don’t have to go out the room to get drinks. Like a liquor cabinet how people used to always have them.

We got rid of all our dvd cases and just put the discs in a cd wallet, saved so much space

Until you get your built in wardrobes in your dining room, I wonder if you could knock out some or all of the vertical parts of the shelves so they are long shelves instead of cubes? (Hope that makes sense!) I think that it would help with the cluttered feeling you’re having and would look more streamline, plus you’d have more options for the way you arrange the shelves. You could even take out some of the horizontal pieces maybe and make the shelves taller to put larger pieces in it!
If you do feel like putting something on the wall in your dining room leading to the living room I think some really pretty drapes would suit it well❤️ it’s so pretty I love it! Also I like the shelves but I can’t wait to see the cabinets love that vision!

You should hang some white or some other colored curtains in the doorway between the living room and the dining room. And then fasten them with some silk ribbons to each side. Since you didn't know what to hang on the wall there. Also, it can be a good idea, if the skylight is too bright when you're gonna watch a movie in the living room. ❤️😻

You can get dark green foresty paterned storage boxes from ikea to put your dvds I think it would look great that way! Also maybe a few scented candles and plant pots and stuff above the covered up fireplace thingy!! Also I cant wait to see you decorate with mantel pieces on holiday time

On the fireplace in the dining room, pop long candles either side, and some colour, it will blend all together i think

You should put the dvds in matching decorative baskets on the top shelves. When you get them redone you can just use the baskets to organize things inside of them 👍🏻
