I read Shad's book Shadow of The Conqueror and it is amazing and Shad gets a million respect points. However, I am now a fan boy and demand more books. Stop shooting and start typing!!!
That good? Been looking for a new book.. Reckon supporting a favorite youtuber at the same time would make sense
I agree with him, Shad hop to it will you.
Has his book been translated into different languages? I'd love to see it published where I am, since I can't read this much in English. Or maybe there's an Audiobook already?
Wendy James there is an audiobook on audible! Not sure about translations
@@the_westonyoung oh ok, thanks a lot!

Well, maybe their feelings were hurt a little bit...
What actually happened: One of Shad's viewers is a time traveler. Once they saw him say that this thing didn't exist in history, they went back and "invented" it, and started selling them to people in the Renaissance period. A very clever scheme indeed.
*WHAT?!* How did you know?!
Shad put all his hatred of halloween into that chair kick
Halloween is still on life support from Shad's onslaught.
@Dragon50275 It's from EFAP 100 Pt. 1 at approximately the 49 minute mark. MauLer asks Shad Christmas or Halloween in reference to which one was better and Shad let loose the nuke that obliterated Halloween and settled the debate for all time.

Shad, a true gentleman more than willing to admit when he's wrong and he promptly corrects the mistake. Also sitting 100.
Sitting 100 allows the purchase of Mighty Sitter perk. You can sit on any surface without problem, including nails, eggs and your own balls.
101
It’s more he’s morally intact enough to admit his mistakes, and he even pre-empts it by stating when he isn’t sure about something, and asks us, his audience, to correct him if he makes an incorrect statement, as well as to find out the answer where he doesn’t have any information about it, while stating his opinion xD
He needs to be typing up another book and not liking comments.

I could swear I saw a frog dueling someone on the margins of a medieval book once, and thought this video was about that. You lied to me Shad, you lied. Where is the dueling frog?
I want Shad to duel a frog now
@Dragon50275 "fried human legs anyone?"

Back when I was a bit more suspicious of RUclips historians in general, I actually avoided this channel a bit, but a few years ago, I saw that you did a whole video on being wrong. That dedication to accuracy and refusal to feed your own pride is why I subscribed and have learned so very much about history. Rest assured, my friends know all about machicolations. You also remind me of the many Christians I know who emphasize humility. All that to say, thank you a thousand times for not only accuracy but a willingness to do entire videos correcting yourself. In my case, it helped someone gain a ton of accurate historical information by learning to trust you.
I second that

@@yunushamzaoglu903 Shad calls all big longswords warswords. I like that term, it's pretty accurate.
Of course sword frogs are not historical. I doubt anyone could successfully defend against an army of amphibians bearing medieval tools of destruction.
Do you mean that morlocks in Warcraft are not historically accurate?
It took our greatest knights to deal with the giant snails; what hope would we stand against frogs bearing sharpened steel?
Sword lizards, on the other hand, are totally beatable.

shads ancestors that were proffesional chair kickers: :)
The PROPER technique for sitting a chair when wearing a sword is known as "the Riker technique".
maneuver*
Oh yeah, the Riker maneuver always works... For chairs up to a certain size.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I just looked it up and it looks like Riker mounts the chair rather than sitting on it
On the topic of historic scabbard suspension, I have recently become familiar with "bollock pouches", which are used both for storage and to suspend bollock daggers. There are some excellent paintings of them being worn.
bookandsword.files.wordpress.com/2018/12/Les_Tr%C3%A8s_Riches_Heures_du_duc_de_Berry_Janvier_knife_carriage.jpg
Bollock pouch? Sounds like another word for cod piece.
So you're telling me Vamp's overtly sexual dick knife is historically accurate? Genius Kojimbo.
You know, after seeing the ballock dagger I'm not really even surprised anymore.
Yep, now all we need is flouro bollock dagger handles, two colour of course
Your skill in sitting, and especially sitting with a sword are legendary!! I was taking notes throughout the entire scene! Now I will be able to sit, and sit with a sword!!!
Yeah right, the seat made _entirely of swords_ can't be sat on with a sword.

First thing I thought of when I saw the title was the sword-wielding Frog (Glenn) character from Chrono Trigger as well, lol ;)
He only “pulled a Lancelot” on Leene in one ending where Marle freaks out that she and her family are all part frog because of Glenn doing some stuff with the queen.
@@FirstNameLastName-oz5ij I don't think that's the only time he rang Leene's Bell.

Such a wise way of sitting. I'm enlightened. Thank you , Lord Shad.
They're cheaper then other sword suspensions so i'm calling it historical if anyone asks

8:37 transition between these two scene is where Shad's pouldron goes loose.
7:46 is where you see the arm movement that initially loosens it.

"for the sake of science, i shall now demonstrate to yo my skill and talent in... sitting"
A moment of debate...
One has to wonder if too much attention is being directed towards the *accuracy* of being labeled Historically Accurate. You could argue that if basic concept of the carriage was present at the time, then any form thereof might be considered as accurate provided the craftsmen were prone to embellishment.
More often than otherwise, any given society had to have all of their goods personally manufactured which would have led to a generalization of such products as functionality would have been of higher concern than embellishments. That said, there are always those who are willing to go the extra mile in order to stand out from the crowd and would have cause to produce/request more intricate and detailed products.
Thanks for going step by step for the sitting demonstration shad most people tend to rush through that
