Thanks for the insight on the replacement. I just did mine on my 1997 jaguar xk8 convertible.
Now it’s cooling and heating as it should.
Like you stated, you’re gonna get a lot of cuts and scratches.

Have the same problem. Dealer told me that it was the timing chain tensioner to be replaced, so it will cost around $9000. But sometimes when I drive, the restricted mode disapear and I clearly can push hard the car so it's not the chain tensioner that broke.
So I ordered two 2nd hand items that you recommended to change. Will receive them tomorrow so I will see if it workes. If it works, I will buy news ones. Saw some new for $315 each so on internet.
    Will keep you posted 🙂

Local agent charged my friend £1200 to fail at diagnosing the same problem. Charged £97 for new plugs twice. Thank you Andy.

Glad we could help, please watch the rest of the videos in the series on this car, it may be an ECU issue....

I am shocked at 12,000 miles. My XKR has now done 120K miles (90K are all mine) and still makes me smile. Most electrical issues come from low battery voltage. Once you get down to 11 volts all sorts of errors start showing up.

Electronics do age…definitely was NOT a voltage issue

I have the same problem with a RHD 1996 car
I have just refurbished the Gearbox Rotary Switch and that has eliminated my Gearbox Fault Code and when I took her out I had messages Engine Fault & Restricted Performance.
    The Codes are P0352, P0353, P0355, P0358 & P1368
I've swapped Coil Packs and this didn't resolve the problem so Not them
I've replaced the Plugs and this didn't resolve the problem so Not them
I've swapped the Ignition Control Modules with each other and the same fault remained so I guess its not the ICM's
I've done a continuity test from the Coil Plugs to the ICM for all 4 cylinders so no broken wires
I've done a continuity test from the ICM2 Plug to the ECU Plug for cylinders 5 & 8 and no broken wires so not them (will do Bank A cylinders 2&3 tomorrow)
    Any suggestions ?
