    204 hp Combined
    Exceptionally Well-Equipped
The top-of-the-line hybrid-electric powered Accord Touring leads the way with advanced technology, featuring Honda's first integration of Google built-in, which includes apps like Google Assistant, Google Maps and more on Google Play for seamless on-the-go connectivity, plus a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan.
With Google Assistant, users can get things done while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel. Talk to Google to easily call or text a friend, set reminders, or even change the temperature in the car. Users can also navigate to the next destination or look up what's nearby. For example, Google Assistant enables users to set their destination in Google Maps using just their voice, with the route map then displayed in the instrument cluster.
Drivers can control their media by asking Google to skip to the next track or rewind a podcast using their favorite media apps with just their voice. Google Play enables users to download various 3rd-party apps for music, podcasts and audiobooks, just like they would on their smartphone.
The tech-savvy Accord Touring also features a redesigned, customizable 6-inch head-up display, 12.3-inch color center touchscreen (Honda's largest ever), a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system with Bose Centerpoint technology, Qi-compatible 15W wireless smartphone charging, 5G Wi-Fi Hotspot capability, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear outboard seats. Berlina Black 19-inch alloy wheels with machined face are also standard on Touring.
The Accord lineup starts with the very well-equipped LX powered by an updated 1.5-liter turbo engine with VTEC® and a retuned continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The combination is smooth and responsive, with additional refinement, improved emissions and 192 horsepower (SAE net at 6,000 rpm). Engine noise also has been reduced significantly.
A new easy-to-use 7-inch color touchscreen audio system is standard, with Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™ compatibility, physical knobs for volume and tuning and a simplified menu structure. A 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, LED headlights and Blade-Silver 17-inch alloy wheels are also standard.
Also turbocharged, Accord EX builds on the LX equipment with heated front seats, a one-touch power sliding moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar control. An upgraded 8-speaker audio system and Pewter Gray 17-inch alloy wheels are also standard on EX.
For a sportier driving experience, the 2023 Accord Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring come standard with the new, more powerful two-motor hybrid system with an all-new and more refined 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine. Combined system output is 204 hp4 (a 2 hp increase), while traction-motor peak torque is 247 lb.-ft. of torque (up 15 lb.-ft.). Despite the increase in power and performance, hybrid-powered Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring are the most fuel-efficient sedans in the Honda lineup, and actually improve for 2023 with gains in EPA city and combined fuel economy ratings.
    Full Specs: hondanews.com/en-US/honda-aut...
Accord EX-L builds off the EX, adding the new, more-powerful hybrid-electric powertrain along with front and rear parking sensors, leather seats and Pewter Grey 17-inch alloy wheels.
Accord Sport-L adds to the Sport with a memory driver's seat, a power passenger seat and sportier styling that includes matte Berlina black 19-inch alloy wheels, black exterior styling accents and a rear diffuser.
Sportier, More Refined and More Advanced
The all-new 11th-generation Accord is longer and sleeker with premium proportions and a broad stance, further advancing the Honda design direction with a low horizontal beltline and a long, powerful front end. Accord backs up its sleek new looks with more confident and refined dynamics for a more engaging and intuitive driving experience.
Now based on the enhanced global Honda Architecture, every 2023 Accord benefits from extensive improvements to the body, chassis, safety technology and overall driving refinement. Accord's chassis rigidity has been increased and suspension and steering updates make Accord even more enjoyable to drive.
The cabin experience includes a new modern and sporty interior featuring fine craftsmanship and high-quality materials, with close attention paid to the operation of all switchgear and controls for a premium feel. High-style materials include elegant piano black trim and a striking metal mesh accent that stretches across the instrument panel. Music by Karl Casey

There's no real transmission in this car. E-cvt is just used as a term, so people have something familiar to hear. This car is moved completely and solely by electric motors at the end of things. The engine can push the car but still the power is always smoothly transmitted by the electric motors. The driving experience is 100% as any other electric car, except from the lack of power since it is still a hybrid. This is the most amazing hybrid system ever when it comes to driving. The simulated gears are 100% software, noise generated, they cause no loss of power at all. Just by reading the new gen hybrid Honda press release you'll know this.

The majority of the '23 Accord reviewers loved the front seats... sorry you didn't like them. Also just as a FYI - the Accord Hybrid does NOT have a CVT. It's a two-motor electric system - explained very well in this video: ruclips.net/video/-P_VChtMGK8/видео.html

To Mike's defense, nobody seems to get it right. That video you linked gets most mechanical details right, but some operational details wrong. A better depiction is at ruclips.net/video/CHVI8r0nlk4/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/fmMb45PPrmg/видео.html . They are for earlier systems, but the primary difference is that the moved the position of the generator.
In Hybrid (CVT-like) drive, the ICE drives only a generator. The generator sends electric power to the Power Control Unit (not directly to the battery, as most reviewers who get this part right will say). The PCU then adjusts the power, to provide what the motor needs, by either charging or discharging the battery. The total loss is much less than Alex on Autos claims. The point is that the engine can operate at over 40% efficiency almost all of the time. Typical engines average 25% to 30%.
What "CVT-like" means is that, most of the time in hybrid drive, the engine runes at 2000 rpm. Since it is not connected to the wheels, it can stay there at any speed. Yes, you can calculate a gear ratio. Yes, it varies continuously. But it is a meaningless number.
      And Alex completely misrepresents horsepower.

This Accord does not use the same engine as the HR-V. Both are 2.0L, but it's an entirely different engine. The HR-V has a compression ratio of 10.8:1, an 86mm bore, and uses multi-port injection and the traditional Otto Cycle. The Hybrid is 13.9:1, 81mm, and uses multi-stage direct injection and a modified Atkinson Cycle (one intake valve closes early).

I bought a Meterorite gray Honda Hybrid Touring because of the gray seats. I like the brighter interior vs the black. I also saw in another video there is a switch in the glove compartment that turns the light in the trunk on and off. I agree the seats are a little hard, so I added a cushion that is gray to match the seats from Amazon. My wife uses a thicker cushion. I like the handling with the low profile tires, they turn on a dime, so it's a trade-off. I like the quiet drive and no starter noise when starting or stopping. So many features to the Touring make this car a plus. The styling excels over the Toyota Camry with that fish-like front end. Thanks for the review, love the undercarriage view!

Firm seats are actually more comfortable over time. Counterintuitive but true. It's possible these have a unique issue, but the seats in my last two Volkswagen Passats were also a firm high density foam. Although my initial impression was similar, I found the extra padding of high quality aftermarket seat cushions to be counter productive. At first it took a long road trip comparison to demonstrate my initial intuition was wrong, but then I realized my butt and back held up better without anything for daily driving too.

Thank you so much for pointing out the seats. I was excited to test them since everyone praised them, but they completely turned me off from this car. Very firm, about a dozen pressure points and no lower back support. It's offensive Honda omitted 4 way lumbar.

    • @kenhiett5266

Initial impressions of a seat is often misleading. You have to spend real time in them to know if they'll suit you. My last two Volkswagen Passats had very firm high density foam seats, and I almost didn't buy the first one because of this. I just happened to like the car better than anything else in class by such a large margin, I decided to go with some high quality aftermarket seat cushions. To make a long story short, I ended up realizing the aftermarket cushions were counter productive and that the firmest car seat I've ever owned was also the most comfortable over time.

      @kyron2092 3 месяца назад

@kenhiett5266 I spent an hour driving the accord and the firmness of the seats weren't my main issue. The issue was the all of the pressure points and no 4 way lumbar on even the touring trim. A couple of significant errors in this review: the 2.0 has no relation to the engine in the HR-V apart from displacement. Not even same engine family. Surprised this reviewer didn't bother to research. Accord and CR-V hybrid engine is DI, atkinson cycle, extremely high compression ratio, no accessory belt drive, and more in the name of efficiency. HR-V/Civic 2.0 is port fuel-injected only, otto cycle, standard accessory belts. Second part that bugged me; towards the beginning, the reviewer says "it's just a basic 4 cylinder," which couldn't be further from the truth. See all of the advancements listed above; Honda sweated the details on this one for max efficiency. This is no Altima 2.5, no Tech IV, no Ford Tempo 2.3 HSC. Yes, it does not have a turbocharger, which is preferable in a hybrid application where the traction motor provides the low-end torque (reviewer seems to suggest that a lack of turbo is a deficit).

Deal breaker for me is “Hybrid”. I refuse to buy a hybrid or ev. Not until any local shop can fix them and have access to parts and diagnostic tools.

Where do you live where you can't get a hybrid fixed? There are millions on the road.

The next gen Toyota Camry will beat this Accord. Honda went backwards with this weak engine.

It’s not out yet😂, Toyota crown is already a failure, don’t expect Camry to be better than Crown.

No matter what Toyota does to that Camry! It will always be second class when it comes to quality, interior design, material, and technology that Honda offers!!
