Before converting to Muslim, she was an evangelical Christian, the doctrine is a little different from Catholicism, we do not use images or statues, which the Bible calls idols. ex: Leviticus 26:1"ye shall not make for yourselves idols, neither shall ye set up for yourselves graven images nor statues, neither ye shall place in your land any stone adorned with figures, to bow down to them; for I am the Lord your God." She could have remained a Christian, since the Koran does not forbid a Muslim from marrying a non-Muslim.
Statues serve as reminders of key events, beliefs and individual's in church history. Catholics do not worship idols. We must respect other religions.

An idol is something other than God. An image depicting Christian symbols reminds us of God, and also teaches. There was a time when printing was expensive and people were illiterate , images could convey the faith. We have these images as Catholics to draw our eyes and minds to what is Holy. You have pics of your family, you are not worshiping their image, it’s to remind you heart and mind.

In some cultures it is normal for families to live together as extended families. I personaly don't see anything wrong with it. Its very nice and his parents are the coolest parents I've ever seen
In my culture, it was normal for me to live with my parents at 30 bc I wasn’t yet married. In fact, my parents refused to let me leave. When I was 30, I wanted to live alone. It wasn’t easy for me to live. I have lived in America nearly all my life. In many countries families live together a long time.

Why are you soo obsessed with where they live; and who they’re living at? Have you even bothered to take some time to see what the customs in their cultures are? Can’t you see, they’re a close knit community surrounded by all family, they are all hardworking people that enjoys their way of life, he’s not the only one living at his parents, his sister, and her family also resides there, what’s wrong with that? That’s the choice they made, his wife seems quite happy and comfortable with their living arrangements!! Sheesh, live and let live..
