But one day, a girl came and stole flowers from his garden and the boy got so angry but didn't say anything. because it is! the story is called La Città di Smeraldo. Basically about a man who hides in a castle because he thinks he is “ugly” and a woman comes to take flowers from his garden which is his happiness but he soon found out that she was selling flowers to make a living so he wanted to help her but he didn’t want to show his face so he let her keep taking the flowers and he noticed she stopped coming and he found out later that she had died.

the story behind this song is about a man who believed he was ugly, and stayed in his castle all the time. when he needed to go outside, he'd cover his face with a mask because he was too ashamed.
he owns a garden infront of his castle that grows a unique blue flower. one day, he saw a beautiful woman stealing the flowers from his garden. he was enraged, so he put his mask on and followed her to see what she would do with it. it turned out that she was poor and was selling the flower to make a living. the man felt bad, so he planted lots of these flowers in his garden. the woman would come to his garden everyday to take the flowers, and he eventually fell in love with her, but he was too ashamed of his face to confess his love to her so he just watched her from afar.
one day the woman stopped visiting his garden. the man became confused, so he put his mask on, and left his garden to find her. he discovered that she had passed away. the man was heartbroken, and was so angry at himself that he didn't confess his love for her before it was too late
