Seven years ago, 300 students who were on their field trip died in Sewol Ferry Accident, and this song was made to comfort the family that was left. The captain and crew told the students to stay inside and they'll come back but they didn't, instead of saving them, they saved themselves and the students listened to the elders which caused their deaths. Condolences to the family of the students who died because of the accident.

That was so much tragic. The crew and the rescuers all left them to die. I am so sad and angry. They could have saved them. But they didn't. They all just see them sink and die. I can't imagine how they felt. Seeing the rescuers they must feel hope in the beginning but after a while they know that rescuers won't save them how much despair and anguish they felt. Thinking of it makes me cry 😢😭😭😭💜💜💜

She thought I was going thru a type of gIrLy Teenage phase, and often ridiculed them and told me to stop listening to them till the point I got depressed. Cuz I didn't want to base my choices on what sm1 else says, cuz I knew it wasn't a phase of some kind. And like, this continued for 2 years, but I couldn't list it as bullying either. She was someone I used to be very close with. I was severely depressed, cuz I cud see our Old Gold friendship dying. She was the first friend I had made so many memories with, and I loved her alot. I went thru tough time bcz of her and some of my other friends (she was like a leader to some of our friends lol. ) ,who always ridiculed me for still liking their Chinese music and sort of 'spreading the virus' to our other friend who became an Army.
Fast forward to 2019, New Year, she tells me she's an Army, and that she cried abt every time she had thot that they were trash.

I'm not a fan, but props to these guys and everyone who worked on this song. it's not only a great, touching song, but also it was dedicated to those who passed away in the sewol ferry tragedy and to the families who lost their beautiful kids. I can't help but cry every time I think about it, especially while listening to this song

When I first heard this song and saw the MV, I could barely finish because it made me so sad. I didn't know the connection with the tragedy at that time, but I could feel something beyond the translated lyrics. Once I learned, it all made sense. I still very rarely can listen to Spring Day, even though it is a masterpiece, because it makes me so emotional. K-pop is not what people think. BTS is not what some people think. They're true artists.

i loved spring day so much when it came around but it didn't hit as hard as now because i didn't knew the lyrics + the behind meaning and even listening to it the 1000th time....it never fails to give me goosebumps and teary eyes.i promise to myself i'll try hard to achieve my dreams and goals and live my life as i want and not gaf about other's opinion.

ΝΤΙΝΑ ΝΤΑΚΟΥΛΑ , 300+ students went on a school trip on a ferry , then the ferry sank . The students could have been saved but the captain escaped first and told everybody to stay on board and not move . That’s how they died , R.I.P. to those children ( they were 12 at the time )

I am crying right now.
I haven't heard any Bts in almost half a year. I left the fandom just because I kind of grew out of it. This group was such a big part of my life for a long time and I loved them with all my heart. I could tell these boys apart by their voices and knew everything about them down to their birthday. I refound them not long ago and I listened to Just One Day and was hit by feels and memories of when I was obsessed with them. I just listened to Stay by Blackpink and Butterfly by these beautiful boys. Now I listen to this, the first song I ever heard of them two years ago and I don't even know what I'm feeling.

It's okay, Hobi's voice is good in any style. Actually there are some videos of them when I hear him sing an acoustic and it's really pleasing to hear. I also think that he has the longest lines in this song compared to the others because of him acting as a 2nd voice. hehe
