Very enlightening and gives a logical view on the dilemma of multi denominations that we see to this day. very sad to see such divisiveness amongst Jews.

I attended a Conservative Temple in Puerto Rico and there was also a Reform Temple in Puerto Rico that ran itself (I hear) without a Rabbi. I lived in Puerto Rico because i was stationed there in the US Army.

Interesting. They seemed to be more flexible and more agreeable than the Ashkenazi Orthodox branch. The other thing, is that Sephardic is most centered on Southern or Mediterranean Europe rather than north Europe.

The Sephardic legacy started with the leadership of the Geonim in Babylonia from the 7-11 C, flourished in Spain and North Africa in early medieval times, and continued with variations in all Sephardic communities around the world. It has been eroded in the 20th century because of multiple factors, internal and external

I am a Sephardic that practices reformism Judaism. Like me there are many Sephardics that have no other option than to practice reformism without been rejected by Sephardic Orthodoxs. Anyways I still connect to my Sephardic side.

There are tens of thousands of people (if not hundreds of thousands) who feel like you. It is very sad to think that the Sephardic rabbis of today would cause anyone to feel rejected. Hopefully we can mend this by creating more loving and inclusive communities, and a less judgmental attitude. Best wishes

you PRACTICE XTIANITY! YOU PRACTICE NOTHING else. Bascially you labeled yourself as a good xtian which is a branch of reformed deformed wacko cult. YOU CONNECTED TO SEPHARDEEM? WHAT DID THE ''ONE G-D HASHEM'' LABEL YOU AS? THIS SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT. YOU FELL. THE HEAVENS CRY FOR THE LOSS.

Sephardi does not have ‘Reform’ or ‘Orthodox’, Just halakhic Judaism... but I agree that the feeling of ‘unwelcomeness’ needs to be addressed.... the Sephardi community needs to do more outreach.

talk about the Rebbe and his supposed messianiadad, that is a risk to Sephardic Judaism. many sefaradim are going after this, sending letters to the dead etc ... Avoda Hará?

maybe you can explain this better to me, the leniency of not covering your hair, do not agree with the logic, that it is not minhag Hamakom to uncover. so the majority of the US do not keep kosher, it is minhag hamakom to eat non-kosher amongst Jews, so that does mean that kosher is nullified, because we have modernized and made progressive.
the Torah says in naso says that the women would uncover her hair, and rashi writes that from here we learn that married women would go with hair covering.
so two questions from this, is hair covering a minhag or a halacha? also since when does "modernize and progression" nullify either? this is exactly what the reform did.

Ben Sam I think you a re mixing up the covering of the hair with opening the hair. So they might have open the bun or braid.

The only "movement" that all of us hold by is the bowel movement. All other movements are just plain poopy.
