checked this channel out because of a nostalgia trip and decided to check your twitter, its incredible to me that youre still making videos like 6 years later
Thanks to TheSeventhForce for letting me finally find that out. I should’ve known about it much sooner, considering I’m a big Johnny Yong Bosch fanboy.
On the Dino Charge Morpher there is a black button on both sides of the toy when the mouth is opened push them down and it should release the Dino Charger
Those Auto-Morphins are pretty beat up, but the nice thing about those is that they’re mostly held together with screws and there’s no shortage of donors out there. There’s nothing wrong with yours that isn’t replaceable or repaintable (if you want to go that route), though Billy would require a whole new leg assembly and they both could use a bit of retrobrighting.
For a small clarification, the reason of the change in toys, is because in japan and in general all around the world, it was quite cheap and easy to get diecast on everything, thats why a lot of older mechs and changers got it, and specially in PR's case, I cant remember in which show it started, I think that maybe Disney Era, but for a while after Mighty Morphin, they weren't only using Sentai's footage, they were also using Sentai's toys, one to one, that's why they sometimes included gimmicks that didn't exist in PR like how the Mighty Morphin morpher never was used as an actual belt buckle pre transformation but the toy still had a way to do it, and like in the Lost Galaxy morpher where in the Sentai they used the wheel to choose their ranger colors but in PR they just pressed the buttons. TLDR: PR's high quality toys for a while were just because they were the bandai of japan toys with some sticker changes or slight tweaks, specifically talking about Morphers and Mechs, because one big thing Bandai of America that you did mention, was a lot of liberty with the toys to make all the toy exclusive weapons and vehicles they wanted
RPM is when they started using their own molds instead of repackaging the Sentai molds Just look at the American RPM Megazord and the Samurai Megazord toys compared to the Japanese Engine-Oh and Shinken-Oh toys
Might as well highlight what little i still have: - The Dino Thunder Blaster that turns to a sword. Being one of my top seasons having this thing was a blast. - The Quantum Ranger's Quantum Defender. Having had VHS of that debut episode and watching it many times made him my favorite and I'm so glad I saw it at a thrift shop as a kid! As for lost items: - The Wild Force mini spheres with the animals inside. I just had em for years and just disappeared one day. They were so adorable so that one hurt to suck
Dinocharge was genuinely good. It was the first series I completely got into. My son was approaching the age I was when MMPR came out and this new season was Dinosaurs! It was a sign that we should watch it together. The cast is great and actually educated themselves on their Sentai, watching it together while in New Zealand filming the show. There were several sentai references throughout the series as well.
I think the craziest part about Lost Galaxy having the highest ratings in the series, is that the Japanese dub actually had better ratings than Gingaman. Yes. Power Rangers used to get dubbed into Japanese. I always found it hilarious when toys based off TV shows used to make the toy way more jacked than the character its supposed to represent. Like, I had a couple of the Star Trek Next Generation toys as a kid, and Riker was way more yoked than Jonathan Frakkes was supposed to be. Also, huge shoutout to the TNG comics, where Picard has more in common with a JoJo protagonist than Patrick Stewart.
When it came to power rangers toys the zords were the only PR toys that I wanted although I did have other PR toys than just the zords. I never had the villain toys probably because they were hard too find. Back in the day the main five zords would always be in a box together, now no more than 2 zords will be packaged together. The only power rangers toys I had were a remote control version the MMPR megazord ( which I lowkey hated because I wanted the individual zords that you could put together), MMPR red ranger gloves that mad sounds when you pressed the buttons, MMPR red and black ranger walkie talkies, the helmet flip toys, the ninjetti toys of Rocky, Adam, & Billy. the shogun zords. Didn't have any Zeo, Turbo and/or Space toys. The Last power ranger toys I had was a remote control version of the galaxy megazord ( which I again lowkey hated because the individual zords are better imo), the magna defender's Torozord which came with a magna defender figure, and Leo's Red capsular cycle which came with a red galaxy ranger figure.
The anecdote about wearing the Morpher casually around the house was so cute and charming to hear. Reminds me of wearing my Duel Disk while walking down the street or going in the gas station as a kid, haha.
I recently found your channel again after years of not watching because of your weird world of power ranger videos I remember watching your videos like 7 years ago glad to see your still making great content
Great video. I had toys from Dino Thunder to Jungle Fury as a kid. I had a mini superzeo Megazord and a Super train Megazord too. Sadly I don't have them anyone. This made me feel so nostalgic
I unfortunately got rid of many of my Power Rangers toys many years ago, but my time span was Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, and a little bit of Jungle Fury. Those were the toys I had.
Your inspiring me to go dig out my old bag of power rangers toys outta the basement. I grew up with the mid-late disney era Mystic Force - RPM those are my legacy seasons I love all of em. So theres definitely some gems down there i just gotta look!
8:44 that is called yellowing and it happens with a lot of toys with white plastic due to the nature by which white plastic is made, something about it causes yellowing. A great modern example is the Shattered glass starscream as that thing yellowed so bad they had to fix the formula
Dino Charge IS good. They rush some character stuff because there are so many Rangers, but it's the best of the "Season 2 is Super" era. Toy-wise, I had all six MMPR head-flippers (they came with weapons so you could make the Power Blaster or invent new combo weapons like replacing the sword with the Dragon Dagger, making a Lance Blaster, giving Kimberly a melee bow (with the daggers and Lance pieces attached), etc. I also had the full Thunderzord set (Tigerzord came with a zord-scale White Ranger), the Shogun Megazord, and Falconzord. For Zeo, I had a couple of action figure-sized Megazords. Also AF's of Zedd, a few Rita-era monsters, and that cobra monster that never appeared in the show.
When I grew out of power rangers my parents made me give away all my toys and I regret it. My favourites were the max solarzord, time force zords, and an odd Morpher. It was the turbo Morpher with the key, but with decals and packaging for lost galaxy. I wish they weren't so expensive now because I'd love to collect all the morphers
I always wanted the Wild Force Zords because the designs and mix-and-match nature of them was a great idea, but I was a young teenager who "was too old for Power Rangers" and had no income of my own, so trying to fulfill that dream as a kid now is much more difficult when the prices are around half of my monthly rent. I *_did_* have the Super Zeo Zords, I distinctly remember that, and the Tyrannosaurus and Mastodon Dino Zords secondhand, but the Mastodon was missing its head so it pretty much served as a rocket pack for the Tyrannosaurus Zord. Wild Force, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder had some of my favourite Zord designs and it's crushing to reflect on how I never owned any of the toys of them.
Something I've read countless times across a variety of media is that the morpher toys for MMPR were show accurate enough that they'd just run down to the store to stock up on morphers every few episodes to replace lost or broken ones since it was faster and cheaper than getting them from the prop department. Supposedly the toys had an even better build quality since even though they were cheap plastic the opening mechanism wouldn't break nearly as often as the ones made for closeup shots.
For the Mega Winger that yellow coloring is a natural part of the aging for that specific plastic. It gappened with a lot of other white toys which. It's tied to air I believe which is why still in the box white toys from the 90s are super rare/expensive.
i was definately a morpher kid, i never really saw the point of action figures and always gravitated towards the morphers and megazords, cause those were actually sick. P.S: the japanese version of the dino charge morpher is actually ginormous and a huge reccomendation on my part
I'm a couple years older than you by the sounds of this, but I had so many of these exact toys as a kid and played the shit out of them (never broke them though, I was really protective of my toys as a kid, plus I thought it would piss my mom off). I sold a lot of my toys when I was 12 to help pay for a Nintendo DS and Pokemon Diamond. Super glad to see the Zack and Billy flippers (I had both too), and recently just came across Jason at a vintage toy shop in amazing condition for $5. Sorry for the rant but these toys were literally my childhood too, ad I'm glad you have been to kep them and still continue the great memories you had!
On the topic of toys, my absolute favorite toy growing up was the navy blue ninja storm turtle mace toy. So much so i actually wore the paint off some of its components playing with it.
Man that was the pinnacle of my childhood at that point. I remember that when I was a kid my mom would buy me nearly every megazoid from each season at that point but the only ones I didn't get at the time being the mighty morphin ones, the season 2 Thunder zords along with the tiger zord, None of the first Zeo megazords aside from the super one and Dino Thunder megazords. However I was able to get a good chunk of the megazords from in space a little bit of lost Galaxy the vast majority of light speed rescue and the vast majority of time force and wild force. I especially was able to get some of the morphers from each season with my favorite one being the in space and wait I remember that I even got the rescue megazord from Turbo because I didn't get the original Turbo megazord. Still wish that I was able to get at least the morpher from mighty morphin but at least I was able to get some of the more first. Great show case of your power ranger stuff!
Honestly, don't fret over wear and tear. I purchased a Pokemon figure of Shiftry, evolution of Seedot and Nuzleaf. It lacked an arm. That one-arm tree mon is awesome to keep. ANYWAYS, toys are great memorabilia. To relate with my visit to Mexico long ago, beyond spicy candy and goat milk lollipops, wooden toys are interesting. There was the tie&string yo-yo, dolls, puzzles and slingshots. Then there was the majestic anime mechas and cars. Crazy that second-hand market makes memories which aren't worn or teared.
I had those In Space Figures as a kid, but I lost Cassie, Ashley, and Andros for that matter. But I was able to save the latter's leg to use as a replacement for T.J. Carlos is the only one still mostly intact. I also had that Torozord as a kid, and it worked as you speculated.
3:09 it was the legacy morpher. The legacy Power Morphers from Bandai were Die-cast metal, same with the coins which were more weathered looking (these became props for the more recent appearances of the classic Rangers. The Lightning collection Morphers from Hasbro are more plastic and have coins with tabs to lock into the morpher
Yeah, the original morphers were kind of dogshit. Bandai couldn’t even bother to get the stickers right (the text is all wrong and they somehow managed to flip them upside-down). Until the Legacy Morphers, though, it was all that we had. From the mid-late 2000s until the Legacy Morpher’s release, they were commanding as much as $100 each in pre-COVID money (and that’s WITHOUT the Blade Blasters they were originally sold with). I just wanted ONE, maybe a second one to paint gold (only Japan got one like that from the factory), and some assholes on Rangerboard were hoarding six or more. Their reasoning? They “needed” them so that they could display one with each coin. Needless to say, the rest of us were experiencing some sweet, sweet schadenfreude when the vastly superior Legacy Morpher was announced and their little investments became practically worthless overnight. 🤣
Unfortunately the value of all versions of Power Morphers keep going up. Seems everyone eventually had the same idea of having several to display all their coins or to customize battle damaged ones or to use them for cosplay.
@@purplewolfranger22 It’s a free country, it was just a bit frustrating to have those guys lord it over everybody on Rangerboard when they were in such short supply.
I bought the Deluxe Mega Voyager on Ebay. Great buy. Looking for the Delta Megazord also. I love your videos on the different series. Can't wait for Ninja Storm which was a good one.
I’ve got the Gokaiger morpher and a few Ranger Keys, it’s great! Thank you for your love of Gokaiger, it was my first Sentai and it’s a shame it was badly adapted.
The thing that i always find weird with PR toys, especially the ranger figure, is they're really buff, like manly buff, even the female one. It also happened on the 90's comics at that time
It's weird how the Gosei Morpher is probably one of the most solid "downgraded" toys from PR to Sentai, only really cutting stuff like the eyes changing to red when you opened the morpher, and the inside of the mouth being red, yet it's stuck being tied to arguably the biggest downgrade of 2 separate Sentai seasons.
I had a similar Power Force bootleg set with a Power Force Yellow with like Semi-translucent Green Plastic Accessories. Completely forgot about it until seeing the section in your video! Biggest difference was my Yellow had semi-transparent parts and full articulation.
I actually have the light blue and pink Rangers from that power force set. I never really played with them too much as a kid because of how fragile they felt, I think I actually still have them sitting around somewhere.
❤❤ absolutely awesome video Conner. You make great videos dude. I played with my collection hard too. Mine are mostly just paint scratched but I had all 7 head flip figures do not feel bad about the damage. Toys are meant to be played with and displayed proudly, I never subscribed to "never remove from box "
I have all the zords from the Zordon era (minus the delta megaship). Most of it is in great condition, some weapons/accessories are missing. Original megazord and dragonzord with Japanese stickers. I'd part with it all for no less than $5000.
@@purplewolfranger22 maybe. Maybe not. I've seen the megazord and dragonzord going for over a grand each. Depends on who's looking and how bad they want it. It's also a price based on what I'd be willing to take to part with it.
Growing up the one toy my mom never let me get was a megazord. Too expensive I suppose. But I still have my MMPR, Zeo, Space and Dino Thunder Morphers. Two things I always wanted and never got was a Quasar Saber and Lost Galaxy morpher. Still looking for those. I do remember the red lost Galaxy ranger toy came out before the show did and it had a button to let him talk. It had Andros’ voice saying let’s rocket. Made me think Andros was the red lost Galaxy ranger.
That mmpr green ranger morpher is actually the bandai legacy collection version not hasbro lighting collection so you actually initially had it right in the video
Never understood the combining of action figures and walkie talkies. They did that with seemingly every property back in the day. Even as a kid I thought it was weird 😆 They also never appealed to me because they were huge and didn't fit with my other action figures. Admittedly they looked cool tho
So looks like that Yellow Ninja Storm Ranger is a transforming figure that could turn into a dog thing and a gun? Some of these toy exclusive ideas a crazy.
If you want a cool model of the Megazord, you can find the model kit from Flame Toys. I built it recently and it was a fun and cool build. And yes, you have to build it yourself with modeling tools, but its a simple build compared to like big gundam model kits.
I think the spinning axe was actually for In Space TJ because I remember having that axe and figure. Lol. Unless they just kept reselling the axe for every blue ranger.
There was a Mc Donald's Morpher toy which I still have that includes the falcon coin for Tommy from the Power Rangers movie. It's made out of plastic and it has three double sided coins that each side has one of the morphing chips for each ranger and doesn't have any sound effects.
yeah the super megaforce keys were smaller but they had one advantage and that was they auto flipped. with the lost galaxy morpher, when you turn the dial to the ranger you want and press the bottom button, it would make a roar sound based on that ranger's animal.
@@Ren_kurogane_CK oh, sure, you may. 😁 I pre-ordered both sets of the Kyoryuger GabuRevolver and GaburiCalibur (normal and movie red versions), the Dekaranger DekaMaster and Fireball Red SP1 movie licenses, pre-ordered the Kakuranger 30th anniversary Doron Changer (okay, that's not part of the Memorial line, but I kinda still count it), and I bought the Abaranger Dino Brace. Now I'm waiting for the Dekaranger standard SP1 license to pop up on the aftermarket as well as DekaMaster's D-Sword Vega. 😅 Aside from these I also got quite a few CSM, CSA and SCSA items from various Kamen Rider and Digimon lines. But yeah, I have no problems either.... 😅
@@ShawnSandiego heck yeah man, I just got the regular memorial gaburevolver and calibur… first memorial editions and won’t be the last… ngl king is my favorite red in all of sentai just because of the sheer positivity he and the show brings
10:08 yeah LG was in the beginning a huge hit but because the writers of the show dragged out the Lights of Orion arc so much people fell off watching the show. Luckily it picked up towards the end so the brand continued with Light Speed Rescue. 3:39 I owned that keychain, I was eight years old in Walmart and my mother and I were in the pharmacy and I slipped it into our basket, by the time we were checking out she hadn’t noticed I had gotten it and she laughed about it and shockingly she said I could get it!😂 eight year old me Chad was a lot smarter than twenty nine year old Chad lol!😂 17:27 I also owned something similar to these, they were Spider-Man 3 walkie talkies that looked like Harry Osborn(the packaging referred to him as “Harry Goblin) and Spider-Man.

I remember watching those old videos where he played bootleg video games
Power Ranger toys were always the highlight of my childhood
Can’t wait for Connor to mention how The quantum ranger in time force is the voice actor of Virgil from Devil may cry
Thanks to TheSeventhForce for letting me finally find that out. I should’ve known about it much sooner, considering I’m a big Johnny Yong Bosch fanboy.
That power rangers has some POWER!!!
Same for David De Lautour (RJ from Jungle Fury). He voiced Virgil in the DMC reboot
dante's VA also appeared in some episodes of time force as an extra.
Hope he does. He didn't mention that Marina the mermaid was Psycho Yellow.
20:53 that transformation lion thing is one of the minizords that pop out of the orbs whenever the ninja storm rangers do their mecha finishers

Same, it would be so awesome to hear Conner talk about Kamen Rider
Atleast do saban masked rider and dragon knight
I would think he would not do that because of the weird world of power rangers he's doing.
I had the Kamen Rider dragon knight figures and DS game as a kid. Loved that shit!
Maybe after
And he should try super sentai@@ZygardeYT

They “needed” them so that they could display one with each coin. Needless to say, the rest of us were experiencing some sweet, sweet schadenfreude when the vastly superior Legacy Morpher was announced and their little investments became practically worthless overnight. 🤣
Unfortunately the value of all versions of Power Morphers keep going up. Seems everyone eventually had the same idea of having several to display all their coins or to customize battle damaged ones or to use them for cosplay.
How are they assholes for having multiples to display in their own collection? Make it make sense.
@@purplewolfranger22 It’s a free country, it was just a bit frustrating to have those guys lord it over everybody on Rangerboard when they were in such short supply.
I feel you, man. Plenty of my action figures are half the figure they used to be.
I came here from watching the pr games video, but I’ve never actually thought about looking at the original toys until now
I bought the Deluxe Mega Voyager on Ebay. Great buy. Looking for the Delta Megazord also. I love your videos on the different series. Can't wait for Ninja Storm which was a good one.
"Billy, for some reason, has been through...much worse!" - You got that right.
I actually owned all of the Lightspeed Rescue rangers with the weapons, but they’ve been lost to the sands of time years ago
I’ve got the Gokaiger morpher and a few Ranger Keys, it’s great! Thank you for your love of Gokaiger, it was my first Sentai and it’s a shame it was badly adapted.
After PR Toys, Time For PR Timeforce
ANOTHER WEEK of asking Conner for “Weird World Of” episodes of Power Rangers show Wild Force,Time Force,Ninja Storm,Dino Thunder, and SPD
The thing that i always find weird with PR toys, especially the ranger figure, is they're really buff, like manly buff, even the female one. It also happened on the 90's comics at that time
I still have a lot of the old MMPR toys.
21:19 its a toy that transforms from ranger to their zord. Dustin had a Lion zord but that is one of the power up items from the power spheres
Megaforce seasons 1 ans 2 were actually a lot of fun.
Can’t wait for you time force review
Aww, I was hoping the new video would be the time force review. 😔
Oh well, I'll continue waiting. Hopefully it won't be too long now.
I really want to see that plug in play!
I grew up poor even as a kid I would never have thought of playing with a toy so hard that I would break it my mom would have beat my ass
You REALLY MUST get to SAMURAI, MEGAFORCE and their SUPER Seasons!
I actually have the light blue and pink Rangers from that power force set.
I never really played with them too much as a kid because of how fragile they felt, I think I actually still have them sitting around somewhere.
Cool toys action figure power rangers collection ❤❤❤❤😊awesome 🎉
hold down the button on the legacy morpher for a lil bit. trust me
How is this the first time i've learned this???
@@ConnerTheWaffle You're welcome. My legacy morpher crapped out at some point during moving and just doesn't work but that was my favorite feature lol
Ebey is the best place to find missing part's
I'm glad you have those, I do as well, but your price there is way over inflated bud.
The Z.A.P. Megazord caught a lot of heat but I think its awesome so I’m glad you really like yours also
It rightfully deserved that heat lol
@@purplewolfranger22 😳
I've loved the toys since I was a kid
So looks like that Yellow Ninja Storm Ranger is a transforming figure that could turn into a dog thing and a gun? Some of these toy exclusive ideas a crazy.
I used to have the Macdonalds toys from the first Movie, they were amazing!!
Power Ranger Fan for life.❤
The only thing better about the American Ranger keys is that they were spring loaded.
Shouldn't feel bad for calling Megaforce bad. I really just relied heavy on nostalgia in the worst way.
Goddamn, what kind of battles were your toys getting into?
Woo! New Waffle video, let's gooo!!!
yeah the super megaforce keys were smaller but they had one advantage and that was they auto flipped. with the lost galaxy morpher, when you turn the dial to the ranger you want and press the bottom button, it would make a roar sound based on that ranger's animal.
My first Megazord was the Super Zeo Megazord
Also, those blue and pink Power Force bootlegs had the KakuRanger/Alien Ranger insignia
Me having pre ordered a few memorial super sentai toys a few weeks ago…. I don’t have a problem
Same. xD
@@ShawnSandiego which ones if I may ask?
@@Ren_kurogane_CK oh, sure, you may. 😁
I pre-ordered both sets of the Kyoryuger GabuRevolver and GaburiCalibur (normal and movie red versions), the Dekaranger DekaMaster and Fireball Red SP1 movie licenses, pre-ordered the Kakuranger 30th anniversary Doron Changer (okay, that's not part of the Memorial line, but I kinda still count it), and I bought the Abaranger Dino Brace.
Now I'm waiting for the Dekaranger standard SP1 license to pop up on the aftermarket as well as DekaMaster's D-Sword Vega. 😅
Aside from these I also got quite a few CSM, CSA and SCSA items from various Kamen Rider and Digimon lines.
@@Ren_kurogane_CK same! 🫡 Haven't been caught up in a Sentai season like that ever since.
10:08 yeah LG was in the beginning a huge hit but because the writers of the show dragged out the Lights of Orion arc so much people fell off watching the show. Luckily it picked up towards the end so the brand continued with Light Speed Rescue.
3:39 I owned that keychain, I was eight years old in Walmart and my mother and I were in the pharmacy and I slipped it into our basket, by the time we were checking out she hadn’t noticed I had gotten it and she laughed about it and shockingly she said I could get it!😂 eight year old me Chad was a lot smarter than twenty nine year old Chad lol!😂
17:27 I also owned something similar to these, they were Spider-Man 3 walkie talkies that looked like Harry Osborn(the packaging referred to him as “Harry Goblin) and Spider-Man.
OH MY GOD NO WAY, I HAD THAT SAME POWER FORCE BOOTLEG GROWING UP
I will also add that I did have the version pictured on the box! They had bendable knees, were the correct colours, and had matching armour pieces
Brother your power rangers addiction has gone too far we need an intervention
I still want the Ninja Storm Megazords
