@thenerdcaveyt Lamp was filling the role of the next best draw tool to cross the finish line. Royal Tantrum does that too, but it's biggest problem is it gets blocked by Pete and is vulnerable to Bear Necessities since it sits in your hand for so long. Since those have been on the decline locally in favor of more blue/red and aggro matchups, Tantrum helps clock you in faster and end games before the opponent by often drawing 6+ cards for 4 ink. It's also only $40 for an enchanted so I might have to pick one up 😆
Love the list. Always felt like Blurple was a better home for Jafar over Steel. Personally would rather small consistent lore gains rather than relying on huge chunk plays with AWNW that can be clunky if you have multiple in hand. Made some changes that I think help smooth it out a little more. Replaced the Scuttles with Tipos. I think ramp is too crucial in Blurple, especially in a combo deck. With no Scuttles I also dropped some items out. Went down to 2 Pocket Watch and 2 Chromicon. I replaced 2 of the Pocket Watch with 2 of the 1-drop Cogsworth. Functionally the same as an established Pocket Watch with the added benefit of being fodder for Tremaine/Be King if needed. Took 2 Chromicon out as I really don't like giving the opponent cards to find their answers. Plus without Scuttle lower items feels better. I added in 2 of the Sapphire 2-drop Genie that is 2/2 and quests for 2. Worst case he is ink or lore pressure but he also can get use out of an early Lamp to slow down your opponent while you get to your end goal. Took out 1 Let it Go, this is more of a local meta choice as Emerald is EVERYWHERE around me. I added in 2 of the 4 drop Genie Supportive Friend as an extra draw possibility/bait for removal/or Lamp trigger. Bringing the list to 61 with 10 uninkables.
@MrLSUfan91 i dig it, definitely similar with the exception of scuttle removal. I think he's been really good in my experience. Everyone has a different play style though.
@kokushin55 this deck is a super fun iteration on the color combo imo. Hits all the bright notes. Hope you enjoy it if you try it we'd love to hear how it goes!
@stanleyswenson1249 she's very cool she just dies too early, takes an additional turn to activate & is uninkable. If she was inkable or had 5 defense or evasive i think she'd be much more playable.
@@thenerdcaveyt more then fair. The lack of ink is unfortunate. I was thinking the 4 willpower is solid. She does sit for a turn but can be solid and another shift target for big Elsa. I also wasn’t thinking 3-4 of. More 1 maybe 2 to supplement the watch. I am new and still learning. So you definitely no more on this then me.
@stanleyswenson1249 it's a super valid suggestion for sure but the thing I've come to find is steelsong & green steel can Zeus her before she gets value & mim fox is a huge menace in the meta & was ultimately my crux with my 4 willpower hero deck. I think storm chaser could be good in the right deck I'm just not so sure she'd fit right here due to the need to keep the uninkable count fairly low.
@Allhailrich1501 right!? It looks so weird on paper but with the low uninkable count it pilots really smooth because you can afford to mulligan aggressivly.
I dont really like this deck just my opinion. So jafar is just in here to trigger jafars lamp. His competition must have drawn bad every single game lol A for effort though
@drorios8864 totally respect everyone's right to their opinion but he actually played it in another set champs & did even better landing second place. Jafar triggers off all draw not just the lamp. Its one of those decks that looks odd on paper but is quite effective in reality.
@drorios8864 exactly, trust me when i say I had a LOT of questions about this list before I featured it on the channel. In playing it though it is honestly surprisingly smooth due to the low amount of uninkables & tons of draw.
@drorios8864 Yeah, Lamp is probably one of the worst cards in the deck. Jafar does a ton of your heavy lifting for lore though. Because Jafar pushes so much lore, the rest of the deck can focus on engine and responsive cards.
Has some interesting combos for sure!
@@CardMasterBrian couldn't agree more! Thanks for checking it out!
Happy to see you giving this deck a shot!
Got a 2nd finish over this weekend running 2 Royal Tantrums over 2 Lamps.
@JFarenci ill have to check that one out i did feel like 4 lamps was overkill for sure.

You gotta love a deck that almost all cards grant you draw or card advantage. I might change to Blurple soon.

What About Elsa Storm Chaser? Seems like she could be interesting
