i didn't really find Dracula that scary...more like supernatural action? don't know, maybe after buffy ( a show that has an episode that actually still gives me chills )and supernatural, the exorcist(tv show),and everything else i might not have the same definition of horror movie /tv show anymore XD
@ABDALLA AWALE no, i am saying that the format of dracula, with that much action and the badass vanhelsing, reminds me too much to buffy or supernatural...or even the vanhelsing movie, and so it feels more like dark supernatural action than horror.
Yes it was, surprisingly human too, when he took the pain away for her at the end really made me cry, especially after watching my mother have to endure her battle with cancer which she ultimately lost, I would have given anything to be able to make the end more peaceful for her.

This Dracula really reminded me of Fox's Lucifer, so now I really want Rev.Chris to watch and review mainly the biblical references in the Lucifer show, even if they're not always accurate he might still find them amusing!
While this would be fun, the TV show is based off a comic book, not the bible. So, the comic took liberties with the bible stories. Rev. Chris would have to watch 'Lucifer' through several filters.

@@McKavian The TV show took a lot of liberties with the comicbook too. Other than the basic premise of "Lucifer leaves Hell and opens a nightclub in LA", it's pretty much all different.

You know what makes me laugh more than anything, Josh always sounds proper English, very polite and proper then randomly says "bruv" every now and then 😂😂
I really like how Rev. Chris says that it's our choice to choose what we're open too and that we have been given the wisdom to discern because that's what my mom always told me. What may bother me and be a door to darkness for me might be totally fine for someone else and vice-versa. Sometimes I'll think a random show will be fine, but once I start watching it I get a terrible feeling that tells me to stop no matter how innocent it seems. If I ever ignore that feeling I always regret it.

The points about free will (even without specifically naming it as such) and taking your own dignity and value seriously are one of the reasons I love watching the Rev Chris reactions. So much goodness and truth in this.

The thing that works with a priest watching Dracula is that they realize that Vampires are supposed to represent the very antithesis of humanity and that it isn’t about the horror, but the character.
That series was AMAZING!!! Sister Agatha is such a wonderfully strong, brave, intelligent character. Definitely worth watching the whole series. Unfortunate it's only 3 episodes.

"Made by the guys who also made Sherlock." I'm torn between this statement and their reaction if whether or not I'll watch the show.
It was mostly gross and disturbing. It had none of the charm and chemistry of Sherlock.
@@revinaque1342 I figured since one is a detective and the other is a super natural. But with the clips they included, it does seem gruesome and bloody. But is the story telling good? Because when I watched Sherlock, I only did because I liked Doctor Strange and wanted to see more of Benedict Cumberbatch. I didn't think I'd end up downloading and watching all four seasons in nearly one sitting because I got that hooked.
It's good, I especially enjoyed the character of the nun. Very funny, very interesting. Dracula loves his puns and takes immense pleasure in...well hunts (?).
You should watch it. Three episodes all an hour or so long. It was BBC

I would really like to see Rev Chris's thoughts on the last two episodes as well. There were some very interesting themes explored there. I think the central question of "Why does Dracula fear the cross?" provides a really interesting thread through the show.
4 seasons of lucifer would be an interesting series that he would react on because there's a line in Lucifer where it really struck me, something along lines of people always look someone to blame of something they instead of taking the blame themselves, Lucifer said.

There is a legend in New Orleans about a pair of brothers (the Carter brothers) who were real vampires. Legend has it that a young girl escaped from their home and reached authorities, who ambushed the home to find 15 or so other individuals with cuts on their wrists, not intended to harm, but intended to drain blood. Authorities didn't find the brothers at home, so they decided to set a trap. The brothers came home for their "feeding" and the police attempted to arrest them; they jumped from a second story balcony and took off into the night. Came back to work the next day, and were punished. They dug up the coffins (fitting, lol) weeks later to research why the brothers wanted to drink blood, and the coffins were empty... no one really knows if they died... anyway, I just thought about the whole vampirism thing that Ollie mentioned. New Orleans would be an amazing place to visit. :D (There are also allegedly "vampire pubs" that are only open from midnight to 6am.... but I'm never awake to confirm. Apparently it's almost like a secret society.)

oh yeah, i really liked it, ( shame that it was cancelled like that)but my favorite part for them to react to would be that final battle between regan and pazuzu inside of her. there is a lot to get out of that scene

I'm really grateful for this series because it finally shows a religious person as humble and intelligent as him out there.

Just the complete innocence of these men is so nice to see. Not sure of a better way to word that, but there it is. I feel like I’ve watched so many things with action and gruesome things in it, that I’ve become quite....desensitized to death. I watched all of Dracula on Netflix in one sitting because I was sick at home and couldn’t go to work. Yet, still being ill and watching the show by myself, I didn’t react this way. (Could be because I refused to move an inch from my chair. 😄😅)
Also the way that Rev. Chris draws examples and speaks about God and people and belief in general, really gets to me and makes me think. It lightens my soul a little when he inferences todays issues and media and breaks it down for today’s people. All around fan of everyone on JOLLY and KoreanEnglishman. You all never fail to bring a smile to my face every video. You have a refreshing presence that you don’t witness much these days, at least I don’t. Thank you for your videos! ☺️ 🙏

you'd have to go through the whole 4 seasons to follow the full character development so it might take a while, but I'd seriously love to have his opinion on the humanisation of mr morningstar
There actually was a case in Germany where a serial killer called Peter Kürten the blood of his victims in some cases drank. His nickname was vampire.
There's also another serial killer, also german, called Fritz Haarmann. I don't know that much about him, but he had several nicknames like vampire and werewolf. He bit his victims during sex in their neck and strangulated them until they died. (If you wanna know more about him, google him there's a very detailed description of how he treated the corpses etc.)

If you watch Dark Tourist in Netflix, there is a group of people practicing Vampirism in New Orleans. They get people to volunteer and they poke them with a sharp tool and then they drink their blood.
