We need an update with white bread after 2 years please.
Bosch mid-high range kettles and toasters seem to offer the same sort of quality for a fair bit less money, but these do look lovely
How has it held up over time? Are you still enjoying the toaster, and limitations you feel it has?
Should have used white bread to see the toast level more clearly. Also edit so you can see the toast pop up. That would be more helpful.

Does it have a soft eject?

Nobody can tell the efficiency of a toaster unless you use WHITE BREAD!!!
You are totally right, check back soon with an update; this is a bit of an experiment for me so overtime things may be ramping up quite a lot. I appreciate the feedback.
