This gun has been on my want list for several years now. Being only sold in foreign countries with high prices and shipping costs I took the plunge and got it. I couldn't be happier with the result! This gun is absolutely amazing. Internally, externally, and the recoil as well as the other realistic features makes this rifle soar near the top of my favorite airsoft gun list. There is a GBB version of the Scar-H (found out while looking for the links to put in here) for about half the cost, so if $530 is a bit out of your budget a $300 version is avalible. If you have any questions regarding this rifle or ordering from overseas, I'd be happy to help you out as I know I had a bunch of questions about it. good review, but i would like to point out that the fire selector for this scar h is true to its real steel counter part.
Next time you're getting a TM, get one from echigoya. Shipping is cheaper and they don't have to cover the trades or have orange tip, since they know their way in getting the gun into the U.S. You save a couple of bucks for extra magazines. Just my 2 cents.

Hey, amazing channel! You're an underrated genius and really helped me in getting into more airsoft tech.I'm still not too familiar with the whole upgrade system on a gun. I have a Classic Army M15A4 Tac Carbine and was thinking about buying a new motor. Say I bought the motor, would I need to install anything else to balance out the performance of the gun or would it be acceptable with just this new motor? And exactly how does each upgrade actually help the gun? Thanks :)
Dom McGee Thank you so much! It's people like you why I continue with my channel. As for the upgrades, a new motor would not require anything additional to change. There are two types: Torque and Speed. It depends on what you're trying to accomplish but generically speaking a better battery would help quite a bit (ex/ Li-po or 9.6v) but not necessary. As for what the rest of the upgrades do, I'll make a video for that right now. Hope this helps you some!

Alvaro Rivera I would but it's not really to spec. In fact its shooting 280 with .25's right now. Should be around 400.

I can not for the life of me find a battery to fit the tiny space in the stock on mine lol. What battery worked in yours?
how were the externals??? I held one it was probably old AF but it was creay ( the stock only)
How are the externals compared to the Vfc? I felt a tm and it felt really weak compared to my Vfc.... May sell my Vfc and get a tm or hpa my Vfc! Pls answe!
I’ve been wanting to get an m4 sopmod recoil and I’m really scared I’m gonna get screwed over by customs so I’m not sure what I’m gonna do😞
In your overview you said there is no other blow back capable scar on the market. There are the we tech scars and they are gbb.
Will Brown Those are Scar-L's. Days after the videos release WE Tech introduced a GBB Scar-H. Just my luck right? If you read the description I included that there are now GBB versions of the Scar-H.

Why did he say there are no blowback SCARS?
There are at least 2 gas-blowback SCARs - WE and VFC.
WE SCAR gas-blowbacks have been around since at least 2011, likely earlier, but I was not interested in airsoft before that.

WE made a SCAR-H, so the TM isn't the only SCAR-H with recoil anymore. Great review though :)

If the guy is in the US, why not just buy the real thing, instead of buying a $600 toy?
The real scar 17 costs about three thousand dollars Soo yeah.

But he explained that he went through so much difficulties to get this $600 toy to the US, found the only company that ships there, sent them instructions how to pack it, they had to cover the whole thing in cardboard and papers, cover the trademarks on the gun with some sort of removable paint, then hope that customs do not stop it, and all of this for a toy with fake (and weak) recoil, many plastic parts and expensive on top of that.
Here in Europe (also in Asia) we don't have a choice, we can only buy these airsoft guns, but in the US he could just save for a year or a few months and buy the real thing.
@@JC-XL yes know but the difference is like you said it's a toy that you can play with you can't play with a real gun unless you got to a shooting range also plastic doesn't mean a airsoft is bad.
@@JC-XL also in the us you can buy the real scar 17 but he might live in a state that has a assulte weapon bans which makes them very hard to get and more expensive as they will tax you even more.
@@JC-XL a new first hand Scar-L Mk17 will cost you 21 000 dollars. People dont simply save up to that amount that easy. You have college to pay for, rent, food, maybe your parents need help, maybe you have kids, ...
The gun costs more than a car does.
