Thank you @Dheeraj Sharma (Devil On Wheels) sir for featuring me in this video. DOW helped a lots of travelers (including me) in past. It's time to help others with your videos 🙏. Keep guiding and helping ALL to fulfil their Ladakh Dream
Hello Dheeraj Bhai, first of all, thankyou so much for all your videos on Spiti and Zanskar. It has really helped first-time visitors like me to Leh and Ladakh. I am planning a trip to Zanskar in the second week of June'24. I have planned the below itinerary, let me know if this needs any changes in terms of feasibility or if I can add some destinations/places to it. Day 0 - Manali Day 1 - Manali toh Jispa Day 2 - Jispa to Purne (See the iconic gumbok rangan) Day 3 - Stay in Purne (Trek to Phugtal monastery) Day 4 - Purne to Padum Day 5 - Stay in Padum I have mostly considered places mentioned in your blogs. I had a few questions regarding this itinerary. 1. Is there any places I should add to this? 2. What's the best way to return back to Delhi from Padum ? 3. Since we are not experienced in mountain driving, can we book vehicle and driver in Manali for this trip?
That is wonderful!! You itinerary till Padum is good and as you have gone through my blogs then you do not need to add anything else. Just check this video to ensure: ruclips.net/video/CB43tb7j7wk/видео.html The abov video will give you answers on how to return from Leh as well :) You can book a taxi from Manali that will make you go through this tour as well or if you want it pre-booked you get in touch with Leh based tour provider Ken +91 84510 57819, +91 866-9121640. You can refer my name to him and he shall do his best to offer best experience. Instagram: @unpluggedlife , Email: unpluggedlife.in@gmail.com
Thank you well you are right channel for the preparation standpoint then.. i am gonna soon start my detailed series of Zanskar Valley. Now that have covered many videos of Spiti and Ladakh
thank you dheeraj ji for some great info. we are planning zanskar valley trip in mid may 2023 entering from manali thro shinkula pass and leaving from zangla and sirsirla. can this route be travelled between 15 may to 5 june? will the entire road be open by then? would be much obliged if you can guide us . thanks
Bhai, most likely the roads will be open during that time. In fact Sirsirla road is already open and Shinkula Pass is almost about to be cleared of snow.
Great Dheeraj bhai and kudos to Sajal Ji 🙏 This was the route I wanted to know about. Now waiting for your next video information on how to traverse through Padum to Kargil
Hello Dheeraj bhai... We are planning for Zanskar valley on last week of May, 2023...our itinerary is New itinerary is... Day 1: pickup from Srinagar Airport to Kargil. (Night stay at Kargil) - 205 km Day 2: Kargil to Rangdum (night stay at Rangdum) - 125 km Day 3: Rangdum to Padum (night stay at Padum) - 105 km Day 4: Padum to Shinku la back to Gonbo Rangjon (night stay at Gonbo Rangjon) - 120 km Day 5: Gonbo Rangjon to Purne (night stay at Purne) - 20 km Day 6: Purne to Zangla (Padum sightseeing) - 55 km Day 7: Zangla to Lamayuru (night stay at Lamayuru) - 170 km Day 8: Lamayuru to Leh via Nimmo (night stay at Leh) - 130 km Day 9: Leh Airport drop. For this where we need permits..? And is it e good itinerary..?
Hey Amit, I will recommend two things: 1. When going to Rangdum, stay very well hydrated and don’t exert. People tend to get AMS up there especially when sleeping on second night. So, stay well hydrated. 2. I will suggest a rest day in Padum before moving further. 3. on Day 5, I am assuming you are doing Phuktal Monastery. Rest from there on, it looks ok to me
Thanks for the brief. Sir thoda distances ka idea bhi de dijiye.. Jispa se aagey Leh tak how long is the route? Jispa to Leh via direct route (Baralacha La) is around 340km.. how long is this one?
Hello, Im coming to Leh again and like to do Leh- Manali via Jispa on motorbike. When in Jispa is it possible to organise a tour (via hotel or touroperator) to Phuktal Gompa by car (not going to Padum) , if so , is it possible in 1 day or will it take to long ? Thx
Yes, you can arrange a tour via hotel in Jispa or Keylong for a visit to Phuktal Gompa. You need two days. Jispa to Purne and rest then next day Phuktal trek and then drive back to Jispa
Well, only few kms and then after that you have to trek. The whole trek should take about 4-5 hrs up and donw.. All this is covered in the video above.
Would like to add Phugtal Monastery has one option to stay overnight. It belongs to the Monastery and is operated by the guys running the restaurant. You can see Phugtal Monastery from the restaurant and it takes about 20 mins to walk to the Monastery from there.
Careful and cautious driving and hill driving experience k saath kar sakte ho but agar experience nahin hai to challenge to hoga aapko and main avoid karne ko hu bolunga bina experience k
Hi dheeraj , nice video. Kudos to sajal ji. Suppose I start from Manali side, go to padum via sinkula pass and leave via kargil side . I want to hire a private taxi for us. As I am travelling through Himachal, leh district, kargil district, can I travel in a single car. Or I have to hire different cars from different point of travel (Himachal taxi union/ leh union/ kargil taxi union etc) Please give some light regarding this.
Well, once you reach Leh, you can get a single car for rest of the trip including Zanskar Valley. However, within Ladakh you cannot use Himachal taxi. Hence, since you will be traveling from Manali side then upon reaching Leh, please hire Ladakh taxi for rest of the tour. Even though I have started hearing Zanskar is also trying to create a union, but it may be difficult to implement this very year..
Can it be done with a pillion on 350 cc bike , wat will be the challenges with a pillion, plzz explain , I want to do this route with my wife , i hv experience of ladakh and spiti ride
it can be done with a pillion. Only difficult part will be ascend of Lingshed ( or Murugam pass), where in some tricky turns you will have to be careful.
Hi Dheeraj can you share a day wise plan for Zanskar starting from Manali ending at Manali ( Since I do not have enough days to go to leh would be interested in finishing the same at Manali itself ) I would be doing this on bike
Sure bhai, I wanted to make videos in the coming month but here you go till then: Day 1 | Reach Manali or better Solang Valley night stay Day 2 | Manali/Solang Valley to Jispa Day 3 | Jispa - Shinkula - Purne Day 4 | Phuktal Monastery Trek and reach Padum Day 5,6 | Padum local sightseeing for couple of days, may be (if you don't have more days then do one day in Padum) Day 7 | Padum to Jispa Day 8 | Jispa to Manali/Chandigarh
@@discoverwithdheeraj can we camp at Gunbo Rangjon , self tents or are their any camp sites around this also if we stay at Gunbo Ranjan which of the above mentioned stay would it replace ?
