Frankly, I feel that unless someone is very familiar with the type of trauma that the person is making fun of be it homophobia, racism, sexism, or transphobia, then any "jokes" they'll be making would be less about comedy and more about enforcing fucked up societal oppression.
@@daddybendover69 Oh I agree wholeheartedly, I just think we should be careful when it comes to labeling people as racist or sexist or anything really when it comes to dark humor. A lot of times people take situations out of context and focus on the words themselves rather than the kind of environment it was said in. If we're mainly talking about teens and young adults then I can't agree more, a lot of stuff is said for the sole purpose of being edgy and therefore, funny. A good chunk of them don't entirely understand what they're saying, and I think it's important that we address it and try to talk to them about it rather than waving it off as "kids being kids". Apologies about that one, I didn't mention everything I had on my mind.

Minute 44:00 In this little town called Beaverlodge, alberta. There was a man that lived there. He was homeless, and the summer time that far north is absolutely beautiful. But the winters are terrible with about 5 hours of sunlight, and temps down to -50 regularly. This man, every november, would walk to the beaverlodge Bank, and throw a brick through the window in the middle of the night anx get arrested. He would do this right before thanksgiving, which allowed him a fantastic turkey supper in prison. And because he broke into a bank, he would recieve 6 months of jail time, so he would not only get out in the spring! He would be fed and well rested the entire cold winter.

Hats off to Hobo, the mods and Teo for doing what they do and what they go through behind the scenes, and Hobo for setting the ban appeals format style for such an entertaining, informative stream
This is such a fun thing that streamers are doing I love it. I also love that Teo understands people can change over the course of 3 years whereas others will keep someone banned for something they said 5 years ago when they were 12
God #11 was so good ahahahahaha Also can't wait for more of these videos, more teo supplies me with endless entertainment and I thank everyone who runs this channel for that
Having been an admin on a private server, I understand how the mods feel when they have to deal with a lot of these people. A lot of them just lie straight up to your face and get mad at you because they think your wrong and you get called a bad mod etc all the time. Its almost always people constantly putting you down and breaking the same rules over and over. Its really stressful and a lot of people dont understand its a lot more work than just having some stupid power to kick/ban etc.
I just recently downloaded discord and so far everyone I have met have been really nice to me. But seeing these people (not talking about every single case he looked at, just the ones that are staying banned) asking to be unbanned even though they knew what they did was bad and didn’t feel any remorse, makes me sad. I have never seen people like this on discord and I’m glad I haven’t. Also I’d like to add that while watching Teo professionally analyze each report is amazing. He acts so professional in this video which seems weird to me since on his main channel he is a silly goofball all the time. I doubt he will see this comment since I am 3 weeks late but if he does see it, Hi Teo, love your content and keep it up. You have such a wonderful community and I am happy to be a part of it. ❤️
@@theswissmiss69 Yeah like I don't even understand it. Like what does one gain by being a d*ckhead to someone else online? Coz even I've done stupid sh*t when I was a kid, we all have, but like none of it was ever racist/homophobic/sexist/targeting ones religion/targeting ones culture or anything like that. Like if I wanted to cuss someone out the times I behaved like an idiot I'd just swear at you in general. Not some instant go to to something outrageous. But I agree with Teo in that people should be given second chances and often change, it's just like a sad thing to me that people are raised that way. I always tend to place a lot of blame on parents, obviously individuals take the brunt of the blame but ultimately none of us are born with that kinda hatred in our hearts, we're all born with a clean slate and that childish innocence, everything else that sh*t is learned behaviour.
@@andrewlawton562 💯👊🏿 Yeah I feel you. I was just saying u can see where Teo is coming from, coz we all deserve second chances. And if they do anything reckless they'd immediately get banned again. But yeah was just explaining that stuff like racism/sexism and other forms of discrimination etc, all that stuff we gotta stop chalking it up to being "edgy" if we are to grow as a society. All that nonsense is learned behaviours. Not some sort of default setting in us all. Nobody is born with that kinda hatred.
It was quite interesting for a video, it really gives you a perspective of some things that we as viewers aren't aware of. Loved the work with the files btw👍🏻 Much love and stay unracist
At the end of the day a joke is a joke people are way to sensitive now a days ,most people think if they don't agree with it should be gone or removed, but that not right just because you don't like something. If you don't like it don't listen or Ignore it, yes, it's really that easy. Censorship is not okay and this is Censorship However if Teo has rules people need to be willing to accept the consequences that follow if you break them Tbh I've never heard of Teo, got recommended this video found it funny and will be subscribing
#015 second joke should get him ban forever, as he said he's Jewish so he shouldn't be joking about the pain of the Vietnamese people simply because he know nothing about it. That is not dark humor, that's just racist. Edit: and the fact that he thinks if he had made a joke about the Vietnamese he would've been fine, is even worse.
The second “joke” wasn’t really a joke, but merely a comparison between the 2 atrocities. I wouldn’t really assume things also about him not knowing the pain of the Vietnamese either as it could really backfire. Dark humour is also massively subjective and has many lines to it as with all humour. There’s plenty of comedians who make jokes about sensitive topics like this and have an audience for it. That’s just dark humour. Teo is right with Twitch not being the place for it though.
@@guest3384 dark humor supposed to be a clever way to reflect a matter, not to laugh at the victim. The fact that he brings that up as an example of an 'acceptable' joke (in his book) shows that he doesn't have any idea how devastating the Vietnam war was to the Vietnamese. This is as equal to a German telling jokes about killing Jewish people, it's racist.
Another thing to take note of as well is how most professional dark humour comedians have a background that makes it acceptable for dark humour to be used on certain topics e.g. they’re black/jewish etc. This guy is just some random in a twitch chat with no background at all which makes it unacceptable for dark jokes
@@caotri5703 Again, there’s no real definition for what dark should and should not be. Take Pete Davidson for example, he jokes about his father (the victim) dying on 9/11 all the time and people have even brought that up in comedy roasts. These people who like dark humour don’t get off on the fact that people died in these tragedies you know. They’re not laughing at the victims of these things. Also wouldn’t say it’s really racist since he’s not really making any jokes about their particular race but rather the events that took place.

When you don't have any societal trauma that affects you then you only have others to make fun of. I agree that sometimes kids say words that are unacceptable because they're trying to be edgy but I don't think they should be overlooked. Unless someone has proven they understand why what they said is wrong then I think its a problem.
It's so funny when people are filling out these forms and they pretend that they're like a "historian" for saying an offensive joke and being like "nO iT'S hIStoRY"
Who wouldve thought i'd actually watch the entire thing
Lukas coming in with the roasts lmao
I love how you upload these longer vod like videos from your streams. I love watching them, or just putting it onto the background to have something play and listen to while I am doing stuff!
Ps: excited about the next minecraft speedrun #2 after you've mentioned that you are waiting for Sammy in the video!
Teo: “kachigga my hmm good”

@@andrewlawton562 eh i dont join discord servers when its a big RUclipsr cause chances are you won't get noticed in a lot of things cause of too many people.

Tbh I never knew bent was a homophobic slur to some people... I’ve always seen it as the same as saying someone’s tilted or mad or like when someone’s acting “bent out of shape” but I guess you learn new things everyday
I didn’t even know this was a thing, I thought it was only used as like “the pillar is bent”
depends on location where you live tbh
Hella depends over here its another way of fuck you .... get bent whatever
@@areono460 yeah... I think it’s just a very situationally dependent term, depends on where when and why
I know that the UK uses it as a slur but, while it is almost never used in the US, I would've interpreted like being bent out of shape that.
Its sad seeing in teos chat ad i rewatched the stream on twitch going “its just a word calm down” and i even saw one of sneaking in the nword, and it feels like im the only one who saw that which sucks, and even downplaying the use of the nword by saying “but he couldve been black” and “he mightve had the nword pass” its really disappointing
Makes me wish i was a mod so i can give out warnings and stuff lol
nword pass doesnt exist, Couldve been black is a legit response, but the nword pass doesnt exist at all
@@tsathirtyvods I personally don’t think black people should say the n-word like I’m fat but that doesn’t give me the right to go around and call people fatty’s. I mean you can be black and hate on other black people same way fat people can bully other people for being fat.
Teo should totally use music from Ace Attorney if he does this again
I’ve gotta say Teo is one of the most genuine and just all around great streamers. He is absolutely hilarious and entertaining but will also cut that out real quick to call out someone that’s out of line. I’m so glad I found his channel and this community!
If you’ve got more vods of ban appeals, I would love them to be uploaded. This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while
This is good content. I really enjoy seeing Teo's thought process regarding ban appeals.
my god this is gold i need to go back and see the other one if theres more. keep it up teo loving all the content you put up
Minute 44:00
In this little town called Beaverlodge, alberta.
The greatest dishonor to me would be Teo saying he's not a friend my mine.
But he isn't?
@@genevie1998 but he always says „My friends...“.
And for some people who said „Sorry my frie... you’re not my friend.“.😂
@@theswissmiss69 yeah but we're not actually his friends, since we don't know the him that isn't streaming and he doesn't know us in real life either

I didn’t even know you could dm people in twitch let alone get banned for spam lol
Kinda weird being banned for spam when most chats i see on twitch is always spam
@@thatblackdude2645 Thats from streamer to streamer.
Most streamers i think just put on slow mode.
But the spam can sometimes be just repeating the same sentence over and over.
Kinda like the "Hey teo notice me" "notice me teo." It's just really obnoxious after a while.
guy 15: I am a history major
also guy 15: writes 1930 in his "joke"
normally i dont watch teos twitch streams because i get distracted but these bann appeals are very entertaining to watch
May I get compensation from the defendant in 006?
Love you bud xxx
Loved watching this, it's a good change to your usual videos!
49:50 For someone who loved the "Banana peels" part as much as I did
15:50 anyone knows what that song/melody is called? I know it's a twitch non copyright song but it sounds so familiar. Anyone knows what the name is aa I have this in my head.
The fact that a history major made a joke about the holocaust, really irks me. As someone who has spent years studying the holocaust throughout my time as a history major I get physically ill when I see people joke about it.
Well done Teo! I think this is a super useful thing to post publicly. It shows how thoughtful and mature you are, and that bans on your channel(s) are sufficiently grounded.
Hats off to Hobo, the mods and Teo for doing what they do and what they go through behind the scenes, and Hobo for setting the ban appeals format style for such an entertaining, informative stream
This was so well done, great content
This was very interesting to watch. Didn't expect to sit down and watch it all at once but I think this is a great idea
Teo about music: gotta make it intense, epic and slowish
Also teo: 41:00
I really want more of this, got such a chilled out feel to it
Case number 11 was incredible I forgot about the seasons 😂
This is such a fun thing that streamers are doing I love it. I also love that Teo understands people can change over the course of 3 years whereas others will keep someone banned for something they said 5 years ago when they were 12
Case number 3: stay banned
Donation: Y E S
it's cool to see that my ban appeal was the very first one to get reviewed, so glad that I get to have a 2nd chance :)
God #11 was so good ahahahahaha
Also can't wait for more of these videos, more teo supplies me with endless entertainment and I thank everyone who runs this channel for that
I actually really enjoyed this, it was very new and creative
Having been an admin on a private server, I understand how the mods feel when they have to deal with a lot of these people. A lot of them just lie straight up to your face and get mad at you because they think your wrong and you get called a bad mod etc all the time. Its almost always people constantly putting you down and breaking the same rules over and over. Its really stressful and a lot of people dont understand its a lot more work than just having some stupid power to kick/ban etc.
14:10 I agree with you 100% Teo! So cool to watch some behind the scenes footage of one of my favorite content creators!
These are good. The mods who set that whole case file them setup are MVP's. I was legit impressed by that.
Missed the last ban appeal stream so this was really new and enjoyable to me. Very entertaining
"I can ban anyone I like and it doesn't matter if it's in the rules or not" - Mussolini, 1931
11:13 “Case Number 3... Stay Banned”

This was quite cool, hopefully there is some more in the future 👍
The things people do on discord and twitch bruh...
The thing that some people in general manager do is mad.
@@TheOnlyTaps Honestly i think case 18 and that group of friends who are sexist should stay banned
I'm curious as to what Case 4 was
The forbidden case
Yeah same
We *don't* talk about Case 4.
What was it
Hehehehe
Case 11 should have told the mods “for the content”. Never would’ve been banned.
i watch this part on stream and it was really enjoyable. i hope the next stream have all of your friends in this so they can share their opinions
had a bad day but this video cheered me up keep posting the great videos
It was quite interesting for a video, it really gives you a perspective of some things that we as viewers aren't aware of. Loved the work with the files btw👍🏻 Much love and stay unracist
At the end of the day a joke is a joke people are way to sensitive now a days ,most people think if they don't agree with it should be gone or removed, but that not right just because you don't like something. If you don't like it don't listen or Ignore it, yes, it's really that easy.
Censorship is not okay and this is Censorship
However if Teo has rules people need to be willing to accept the consequences that follow if you break them
Tbh I've never heard of Teo, got recommended this video found it funny and will be subscribing
Only Teo could make appealing bans so goddamn funny and enjoyable.
Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did
I feel like Teo dressing up like a detective or PI with some aviators and tan suspenders would look stellar.
I really enjoyed the video, felt high quality, only thing missing was Teo with a Sherlock Holmes hat and a smoking pipe
Exactly
This is the first time i'll be watching someone reviews ban appeals for a hour.
Teo: I need intense slow music
*Country music plays*
