Yes, not often. Always carry a tarp to put up and get under. You can set up your tent in the dry under it. You have to think and act fast or it could be a disaster. If it had snowed on you while wet you would have been in bad trouble. Always carry a few sticks of dry wood and fore starter and a set of dry woolen clothes. They hold heat even when wet. Good meal. Honestly the tent design has no relation with the water leak, it's my fault i didn't set the tent the right way
