All i can say is WOW! This cover was so good for me. Can I say everything I want to say? I'm going to, but I think I need to put a disclaimer in here first. I love all people. All colors. All shapes. All sizes. All beliefs. And I think that what separates us is US, and it needs to stop. We all have brains, and hearts, and we all bleed red. I guess what happened to me in watching this cover, was that I caught myself being like all the other assholes in the world. I'd gotten on youtube this morning after hearing "What's Up" on the radio. Sometimes I'll listen to 30 or 40 versions of a song by the original artist and various covers when I'm in that mood... and I was in that mood. When I stumbled upon your cover of this song, I thought to myself "how can she cover this song? this is going to be all wrong". That is because, in America, we have an image of women in the Asian culture as being quiet, calm, obedient, un-opinionated... anything but hostile. I would be classified as a "white girl", and the area i live in is, in fact, predominantly Asian, but I still didn't see it. Anyway, You did a great job covering this song, and I did enjoy it very much. What I didn't enjoy was catching myself being an asshole, and judging you before I knew anything about you.
