JILUKA「K4RMA WORLD TOUR」@ The Underworld 2024

We're only halfway through the year and 2024 is once again, proving to be the GOATed year for Japanese Metal gigs opportunies! 👏😤
Honestly feel super lucky to have had the chance of experiencing the self-labelled "Electro Gothic Metal" infused Visual-Kei band JILUKA, performing at The Underworld in Camden for their "K4RMA WORLD TOUR" which celebrates their uprising online fame thanks to the brutal af singles they've been releasing recently 🔥
Supporting them was the fairly new, Alternative Rock (with hints of Modern Metal/Post-Hardcore) band; "Detroit Run" from Liverpool, who put on a short but sweet performance with great stage presence, catchy choruses and fun synthy breakdowns! 🤘
Was an amazing gig and surprisingly the sound mixing was a heckin' lot better than the recent experiences I've had with Underworld...but unfortunately the same overheating situation from Hanabie happened due to the venue selling out with such a packed up venue, that it felt like a sauna...and doesn't help that it was ironically on one of the most hottest days so far in London 😅 one of the main reasons why I ended up changing recording locations was due to helping out someone who was fainting, thankfully me and my friend helped them out in time (if you're reading this hope you're well!) 🙏 but I'm shocked at the lack of security personel and underwhelming air con/vents the venue has, Underworld you legit gotta step up 🤔
But despite the negatives, I had an unforgettable experience shared with my fellow V-Kei London squad & friends and I hope JILUKA gets to perform in London again soon!...also shoutout to Sena-senpai for noticing me when I shouted "are you youtuber?!" which he then responded with "I am!" the band clearly knows their meme culture well lol 😏👌
