The long game? Getting with a star athlete since high school aint really playing the long game, its like 2-3 years of college when they know they are about to be drafted. Star football players has all the girls that want him, the players make that choice who they want.
In some cases, white women who come from money, will financially support a black male athlete years before he even gets to the draft. Over the course of time, they form a relationship based on love and respect. They share the same mindset for the future. I agree with the sister, im married to my beautiful black woman, shes a rare gem because she literally met me when i was living in a shelter when i was 24yrs old, she was 21.
She let me know she's with me for me, not for what i have or dont have...and she saw the potential in me, she saw that i wasnt some bum, i was a man simply going thru hard times, she even sat outside with me all night one time, when i was telling her to go home to her warm bed ill be alright (she lived with her grandmother) she refused and stayed, and literally sat with me all that night and ill never forget that, thats when i knew she was a keeper, i knew if i wouldve fumbled her i would never find a woman like this again.
She was there when i had nothing, to when i got us our first apartment together, then a car 🚗, until we built what we have now (im currently 37 and shes 34) from the ground...im not rich but we're comfortable, decent credit, a nice place to live with our 4 beautiful children in a nice gated community. My father and my older brothers always praise me, telling me i truly entered the stage of being a mans man. To top it off, i have the perfect wife beside me who was there the entire time and watched me become who i am now.
