For some reason i never thought of applying dynamic eq before compression. Usually when i hear vocals like that i'd just straight up go to compressor. I like how the EQ evens it out without just slamming it down with distressor/arousor. I'm gonna do that in the future thx for sharing brother 🤗🤗

Nova's parallel topology makes it awesome when you need lot's of bands. Fabfilter tends to sound a bit ringy when bands overlap

Hey. Lately, I haven’t been applying any subtractive eq at the beginning of my vocal chain. So far I’ve mixed 7 songs without doing it, and my vocals and their relationship with the mix sounds better than ever! But how normal is that? How often do you find yourself applying subtractive eq?
Is it virtually always necessary?
