I'm 22, and I'm trying to do college for cyber security, but I'm sick and tired of having old people that barely know what they're doing trying to teach me stuff that makes no sense where a 5 minute youtube video will teach me all I need to know and leave me with questions to push me forward.
Thank you for these videos, keep it up. Love to see them. Bringing back some fire into me to want to continue with Cyber Security, even if it is without college.

I’m 23 bro and I feel EXACTLY what you’re saying I dropped out of college like 3 times. Once cybersecurity, that professor was just rambling on about life and I didn’t learn a thing, 2nd time was for automotives before covid shut us down, and 3rd time was online for cybersecurity and it’s not that I failed or anything but one minor inconvenience has caused me a lot of time wasted. I’ve just been studying using professors messers videos for anything comptia certs, anon ali, zsecurity, David bombal, and networkchuck for the actual hacking. I even spent about $100 for zsecurity complete beginner ethical hackers course and I’ve learned so much more on that course because it’s so hands on. At the current moment I’m studying for my Comptia Sec+, but it’s been on and off since I work full time but I’m about to go part time. I’ll let you know how everything is! But trust me college won’t teach you a darn thing about cybersecurity.

I started with a book called" head first " where I learn html and css and from there I started building tons of website for free for my family , friend and personal project.
after confortable, I started learning javascript and add that skills to other websites I have built.
but then I built my first blog ( it is not online anymore ) and then I started learning ReacJs and started building single page application.
from I started learning how to use cms like strapi to prototype an api and consume it on my frontend application.
once confortable implementing API and reading documentation easily I started learning backend , java , spring boot and database postgresl.
I was able to build a complete Full stack application.
I applied at Booz Allen Hamilton and have been working there for almost two years now.
from my work , I learnt microservices, docker, liquibase and some AI tool.
Yea , this is the whole spectrum.

I agree with everything on this besides the last one of NetworkChuck's video.
Nothing against him, his videos helped me study for the CCNA and I like a good amount of his content when he's not shilling some product 😅. He has little to no experience being an ethical hacker though and doesn't have the certs he recommends in that video.
A much better recommendation is David Bombal's video with OTW titled "2023 Roadmap to Master Hacker".
Anyway great video An0n! Love the editing and use of B-Roll from MR. ROBOT and Watchdogs 2, definitely the aesthetic/media that fueled my passion for this industry! Looking forward to more uploads from you

Also the fact he's looking to advertise subtly in his videos rather than selflessly share advice. Take into notice his latest one regarding Tor and usage of VPNs. There's the thing with challenges.
Try to think that as a game and you're particularly interested in the game that you're playing. For example one of the most technical genres is fighting games. Which move has the least frames in the framedata, or if the block can give you positive framedata for punishment or your opponent with your particular character. This means, that you can be better at fighting games. The same thing with hacking. Ethical hacking(with proper permission or doing it on your own devices) can be treated as a game in the same sense that it's very technical. Try it and see it for yourself.

SQL injection, xss, social engineering the list goes on... It's not about hacking websites large or small, it's a puzzle where you have to know the systems and find the vulnerability that gains you access. It's also illegal, big or small, to hack any website you don't own yourself. If you don't know how to do it, you very likely don't know how to do it anonymously or 'safely'. (I'm no hacking expert by a long shot, I just have to know certain cs processes as part of my work)

When it comes to pen testing the most important component is going to be your RAM minimum 8GB. And pick a Linux distro that appeals to you. Like this video suggests Kali Linux is a good start

What programming language is good for hackers besides Pearl or Ruby? Is the C++ programming language also allowed?

C++ can be good when it comes to memory management. Also, Python is good for cyber security.
