- A deleted scene from my "1000 Players Build MASSIVE Civilization in Minecraft" video.
Pros:
The scene gives viewers a break from the plot line. It's nice pacing, relaxing, and cinematic.
Cons:
It's redundant, doesn't advance plot at all, and it's a bit slow. It gives viewers a reason to click off of the video if they are getting bored.
WHAT HAPPENED TO SHRIMP'S SQUID AFTER SHRIMP DIED IN THE WAR!?!?!?!?!

This is the info we need to know. ;_;
What's so interesting about this scene is it really demonstrates how hard we were trying, especially from the side of Aculon, to not let war break out over nothing. Everybody playing wanted the war to be triggered by something big and worthwhile, so while there were plenty of opportunities, every time everybody backed out because it wasn't worth it at that point.
So much so that they had to script the plot in a way to make a war happen, it was honestly quite nice how no one wanted war to break out for so long lol
Edit: when I say scripted I don't mean that everything was fake, I just mean that they changed a few things here or there to make it more interesting for the video, an example being Elanuelo wasn't actually at the event during the parts where he was "in his hidden bunker" because he had family issues or something irl, he also wasn't really a dictator and turkey and him were friends through most of it, he put turkey in charge while he was away etc, killing turkey was done as part of the roleplay because he was in character and being suspicious of a rebellion makes sense,
So again when I say scripted, the majority of the video is true to what happened they just changed things to make the plot more interesting for people that didn't take part
I’m curious to why this didn’t make the cut now
you were apart of aculon?
@@JayKeli41 I fell of the iron torch near the end and my game lagged so I couldn't react by placing a water bucket 😭

It's like having a little too much flavor text in a novel: cool to experience but serves no true purpose
thx for explaining legit confused why he cut it out

true
From a story arc prospective this makes sense to be cut from the movie because it feels like foreshadowing that a war would never come, even though it would eventually break out.

Overall this civilizatione event gets a 9/10 insane story arc, and the action and emotions were some of the best and also were similar to characteristics in a movie.
What cuts the point off?
@@vigil8400 They didn't tell us what happened to Not Shrimp (the squid)
@@grzegorzha. didn't you guys saw that shrimp dude died in the war?
@@Leandr3 yea but what happen to the squid?
@@vigil8400 it could have ended with wrapping up the desert power vacuum OR showcasing how the vacuum was settled before the war (kind of like a build-up). the two new "leaders" were not even given more than 10 seconds of collective screen time. understandably the war ending is a more impactful ending than the desert arc and if the war had a major impact on the desert's development then the latter option of showing the desert before the war would not make sense. but the desert was left untouched in the last quarter of the show
This was the single greatest multiplayer Minecraft story ever told.
Ultimately, a conflict is what people are looking for in the end. It pulls the audience in, gets them on the edge of their seat, gets their hearts racing. A climax is an essential part of any story, and generally most of the viewers are seeking an emotional finale. I personally would find it boring for them to just achieve world peace and be done with it, since these videos have _always_ been about the drama, tension, and conflict between the participating players. Those are the parts the comments talk about most. Those are the parts people remember. The best place to leave off would undoubtedly be after a massive worldwide issue, so that’s exactly what he does. So starting a war is generally what’s needed to make the video interesting. Because if it was completely realistic, that would be boring, because real life is usually a boring story.
idk man, real life has tons of events (including but not limited to war) that many find rather interesting, and yet reality can also be extremely boring during war time. While it's true that people find entertainment in different places, and many minecraft players clearly enjoy their pvp like how many viewers enjoy the political war drama, that's not necessarily all that people find entertaining. The cool builds, strange rp, exploration and discovery, and social dynamics all entertain me as a watcher, and I'm sure there're more things people find enjoyable.
Obviously not saying we should take the wars out, they're also a fun part of the experience. But even after the climactic fights, I'm the kind of guy who wants to see how everyone enjoys their last days of the experiment.
I disagree. I've seen so many of these minecraft experiment videos, they literally never end without some massive war. Throughout this video I was always wondering "could this finally be the one where people play peacefully?" ultimately it wasnt, but that doesnt mean there's no audience for that sort of storyline.
There are many different types of conflict though, a war isn't the only type. The most interesting parts of the video were the countless escalations pre any actual fighting.

That was a fun watch, I wished there was more minecraft 1000 player civ experiments to watch, they are very entertaining. 😃
It fr sounds spicier than the usual 100 players.

@@fatgatorandafathead8990yeah, they always just end up fighting. Instead of making civilisations out of necessity for survival, the admins force them to do so. This experiment, they fought because they wanted to, not because the admins forced them into doing it
Elanuelo slayed this. He was the one who made the "movie" interesting

cant believe they shut it down in the sultanate
@@sentryslmao at least he opened it back up in other places
This is hands down your best video and THE best civilization video on RUclips
I’m in a server with one of the leaders and allegedly Ish gave the ultimatum of “No war, no video.” I understand why this was a deleted scene
yeah, he realized that it was too clear that he did know what he was "rooting for"...
Obviously.
Just like build the earth or 2bt2 . Nothing major happen = no vid
Well. While it may sound forced, it makes sense. If the big war didn't happen, then there would be no major climax.
No climax = what was the point of the story.
Besides, I believe that Elanuelo was also one of the map creation leads, so that guy had much more knowledge about the map than every other player. In other words, one could say he was a spy from the dev team to make sure that the video and experiment itself will be interesting. Which, yeah. Was needed, otherwise I don't believe there would be a big war, as he lead the very last nation that could have a chance to oppose worldwide peace.
@@MaxBurnHeart Honestly, I disagree. I think story climax can be reached without an obvious big event. I don't think anything needs to be staged for the story to be captivating and to still end well, it just would take a lot more creativity in how to frame the story.
I supported Turkey , and the Alliances
But respect to ALL of you for creating such a good video , wars , civilizations , kingdoms , empires , peace , in minecraft , so cool , so epic. And even better , is that u talked with discord.
A Masterpiece, im crying
Wish I had a pc so I could’ve taken part, but this was such an amazing viewing experience. Can’t wait to see the next one!
Same
I how this story went out well people see the snow ruler as the villain but I like villains so I've been rooting for him because he gives me that evil person vibe and I like it how he didn't die because of plot armor
I was also rooting for Elanuelo, on these types of videos the nice democracy guys are always the winners after the huge world war against the authoritarian nationalistic powers, it would be cool to see him actually winning this
My sibling actually sees the snow king as a righteous ruler and think Turkey is the true “villain” - a nice guy who did good but wrong decisions by not telling or suggesting the snow king new policies but doing something else on snow king’s back.
The snow king then killed Turkey because he broke the kingdom’s law.
Elanuelo established order and justice. Down with the satanic global alliance.
The video was an absolute masterpiece I only wish that Aculon stood more of a chance, and they weren’t obviously doomed from the get go.
Well, the plot wasn't entirely driven by the players. I heard staff and ish had intervened to simplify the plot, for example, with the Emirates situation.
Yeah, probably. Especially with some scenes. They probably had to recreate them since they didn’t get good footage or weren’t there
@@leehipp7490 definitely many cinematic shots were probably separately filmed (eg when each of the allies leaders stopped to look into the distance in front of their cities after the war in the final minute of the video is pretty clearly separately filmed) for obvious reasons, the entire desert was a mess throughout the entire length of the server and needed to be simplified, but all the major events are real
The final battle was so epic. Its sad that Elanuelo died that way, could have been killed in a better way but its still epic.
It would be better if he escaped and organized rebellion
@@juzzoo that would be impossible since all his allies died in that battle. even the desert militias all died according to the player’s POV of the experiment.
@@silberoi45 he died the same way turkey did
@@sleepstrong8352 Didn't think about this, It's cooler now
@@FrancoGazzetta even cooler, the final song started with the final words of Wazzock. In the end, world peace would have never been possible without Wazzock's sacrifice
This is a great scene even though it was cut
This was one of the best videos i've watched on youtube this year. So damn good
The description itself lists the cons of this being left in, but in additional, it looks like it just didn't age well with how the rest of the conflict goes, lol.
Imagine if a director's cut/extended cut gets released...
Understandeble that these scenes were deleted, they foreshadowed the future too much.
that scene aged poorly
AFreakenTurkey shall always be a king among men.
there should be an exact replica of the world after day 10 has happened so people can play it
I think am improvement for your videos is to make a series format.
Making little 20min videos every week or so with cliff hangers. Just so you don’t loose momentum in your views and can keep people engaged.
I imagine there are so many things to put into a video, that it could even be longer than just an hour.

Videos popping off great job ish!
We need another one!!
the sultanate's fall was a tragedy because they all turned on eachother :(
This scene.....I can totally see why it was deleted.
R.I.P AFreakinturkey
You should make 1-2 day long installments of the 1000 players, and make it a series.
Why was this cut i thought of this scence i said when is he gonna talk about why theh dont fight
make another "1000 players civilization"but with double the amount
And then the battle of Aculon happened
So message of the day is, the shadow government will always fall.
I think this could've been transformed into a nice outro sequence which could... possibly lead into a sequel video? idk
Justice for Wazzock
Next time have a reward for being the last team alive and see how that experiment goes for a week; it will make players more likely to cause conflict and use less diplomacy and the center island will likely be a battlefield
I miss Shrimpatine should have shown clips from him
Artistic, made me cry
SWORD GRAVE!!!!!
This is like the first civ vid(on my pov, i havents watched lots) where world peace almost happen!
My goofy ahh was front and center at the end of the scene
@Ish 2 is there going to be a part 2 or something because we still have 500 people remaining
Makes a great trailer
this scene feels like filler, i can see why you deleted it
I was rooting for the snow from the beginning
I think one of the reasons we had an extra sympathy for snow is because they had real hard climate and enviroment conditions meanwhile plains and jungles got it easy
I would love a part 2. In fact make this a series. Like if you agree.

Ish, the minecraft experiment god, did you rooting for mass slaughter amongst major nations at that time? Do you have any feelings or tiny guilt for innocent people fallen in war? Hmmm😂
I feel like it would be fun to be on Elanuelo's side lol
same
it's always cooler to be on the less powerful side
it is cool to play as the villians sometimes
why was this scene even deleted
0:46 i recognize those guys...
Now i have a question: are those masterpieces of experiments staged, or do the players only have a time limit to be free? Also, how long does a day lasts? :o :D
Experiments are not staged but some things are rerecorded for RUclips videos. Like when a big character dies off screen, they rerecord their death more dramatically
Not staged, sometimes some events are redone to be more cinematic, and there are some minor plot edits to make the story work better, but for the most part its all just up to the players. A lot of the cinamatic shots were just shots that were rerecorded later, using players from the event and a disguise plugin. Each day was 2 hours long, with some days that were longer, like the final war day and 2 build days that were 3hrs. PVP was off for the first couple days as well.
@@luqdude @Golfistayt thank you! it's great to have some light on this stage ;)
There also are occasional things that aren't so much staged as they are led in a planned direction. That's generally most true for the spinoff ones like the previous 2, the prison and island videos. Those ones had quite a bit of admin intervention, but only for larger things. Players still generally had autonomy within those confines. And for this video, the final battle was slightly staged in that Ish set up the location and time for the battle, and kind of forced some nations to join in when they didn't want to. There probably would have been a war still without intervention, but it likely would have looked very different, and it would have been far less cohesive.
@@Golfistayt they are staged. don't believe ish's lies. See the reoccurring characters, the fact that there with always be fighting. It's all a lie.
Just as good as the actual vid
