    What if you rare improved version organically can it be pure

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  2 года назад +3

      By organically I think you mean through free range. No,improved is more of a genetic make up than what they consume. An improved breed is a mixed breed. If you would like to eventually have pure breeds, ensure you crossbreed all your forthcoming generations with pure breeds until the fourth or fifth breed. Then you will have a breed that is more pure than improved.

    What is different between colour of egg laid

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  Год назад +1

      Egg shell colour and egg yolk colour are determined by two different things.
      The colour of egg yolk is determined by the diet.Natural diets of yellow maize,marigold flowers,among other green plants will make the yolk orange or yellow coloured.
      If you use white maize for making chicken feed the yolk colour will not have the yellow or orange colour.The colour is due to substances known as carotenoids present in some plants.
      Egg shell colour on the other hand is determined by genetics.There are chickens that will lay eggs with shell colours such as brown,white,blue,green and chocolate colour.
