In my case: it's the only way to shorten the # of crashes.
In his case:
1. easier to spot something that is not normal or something moving.
2. Further details wont render so in enemy pov they are hiding in grass or something, on TGLNT's the enemy are just standing in an open spot
3. The faster your game run the faster your bullets/hits records. So if you are in 1 v 1 with someone with the same gun. You clicked at the same time perfectly. The faster pc wins? (Not sure about this, i just read it somewhere)
