Thank you for a very good overview of this camera. I bought it couple weeks ago, mostly intended for heavy video use. I've done some good research and chose this over the Sony RX10 III. I'm very pleased by the still photography quality, and although my NIKON D5300 shoots incredible stills with a f1.8 prime lens, this is not so far behind, as I expected because of the sensor size etc. Really pleased. Great zoom and I've done some very nice footage using the full tele zoom at the theatre, sitting some 10 meters away. Didn't expect it to be that good.
The only thing I'm puzzled with is if the zooming sound should be so "clicky". I mean, I don't mind if it's supposed to be that way but since this is my first camera of this kind, I wouldn't know.
No need to praise the video capability too much, it's simply great.
I've bought me another Lumix, the GX8 model as the B camera, I do a great deal of interview shoot so the FZ2000 is for the talent and the GX8 for the interviewer and some wider still scene shots.

very helpful review, clear and with a 'down to earth' focus that is easy to understand :) and it definitely helps to make a decision about the zf2000

    The 24mm - 480mm IS the 35mm equivalent measurement.
Marked on the front of the lens it says 8.8 - 176mm.

Great first look/thoughts on the camera....thank you. Two questions I was hoping you might be able to anser: 1-Is there any crop that occurs when filming in 1080? 2-Is the focus ring linear, or speed dependent? (meaning would a follow focus device work with marked stops, or is it speed dependent as the position of the focusing ring is ever changing with respect to the actual focus). Thank you very much for any insight! -Carl

Hi, nice review! I just wanted to know if there are any consistent difference between the 4K definition with this camera and the definition of an Handycam (for example the VX870) or of the Sony RX10.

Hi Bob. I want to see more videos from you. One thing I dont like about this camera is the 1" sensor... I think I'll wait for the GH5

I can see your point, the GH5 will perform better under certain conditions and having a micro four thirds sensor will help with depth of field and the cinematic look. However, at this price I think it is a great buy an all-rounder. Low light should also be better with the GH5, but we will have to wait and see.

Hello, i have a question: How works the Pana Fz2000 In high ISOS on vídeo. Thanks.

I have only had the camera since Saturday so not had the chance to fully test it. The tests I have done seem to indicate the camera works really well up to 1600 iso and usable up to 3200 iso, beyond this and noise becomes a serious issue.

1 inch sensor is about 2.7 crop factor?
So basically on the telephoto end of this camera in terms of 35MM has an aperture of F /10.8
on the wide end it has F/7.58 so not really built for low light especially on the narrow end.

bull shit 480mm tele. when panasonic is going to make 1500mm tele on 1" sensor cam? , is it after worlds end? Nikon already has won the run with 3000mm with 4k video recording.
