Insomnium makes music so good that it can be played at funerals as well. Just over 3 months ago at my mother’s funeral, Heart Like A Grave played the organ, played in the chapel and at a memorial service on the piano. Now this new song has been playing quite a few times already.
These guys don’t know how to make a bad song... from the first note you know this song is gonna be great. And they don’t disappoint. Such (another) great song from them. Kiitos for all the feeling, the melancholy, the melodies, Insomnium...
This band doesn't have the capacity to make a bad song. I feel grateful to the band for the sound, the emotions and the melodies that always fill my soul of beauty and poetry.
Also, in Thursdays first play radio interview, Markus "van Hala" Vanhala told that - instead of releasing an EP from demos they played on autumn stream - they have material for whole album. Plus he has material for 3 more, including 2 new bands from him, so we can expect new Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum albums in the future (this year?), and some more goodies.

It is a very well done song in my opinion and if someone ever asked me again what's Insomnium, I'll show them this song from now onwards. My favourite part of the song is from 5:55-6:25 . So good, You can truly feel the heavy raw emotion in this track. Well done Insomnium Also, I just realize you guys are now 61.7K subs. Congrats guys! I miss our WinterSunday days...Channel grew so much since then.
It has some Dark Tranqulity elements in the way the riff progress.. i like it ! Was watching an Assassins Creed video on my other monitor and you mentioned it, haha
I listened to this song and felt immediately how good it was, but it wasn't until during the 2nd or 3rd listen that I got the goosebumps... Insomniums songs usually take a few listens to fully open themselves up to the listener in my view. You should do a Listen #3 reaction when it comes to these guys :)

I feel it, it happened to me last weekend, a friend of mine blocked me on Facebook because my principles and ideals are not the same as his. After about 3 months of debating on Facebook about several things I could have unfriended him but it would be an intolerant act from me... now he blocked me. So yeah, I feel it as well.
I appreciate the rant actually. I will snooze people from my timeline, rather than unfriend them! Social media is very reductive and emotional and people are so much more complex than what they post on social media. Insomnium does transport you to a place of sweet sadness almost. Melancholy is a great word. Love Insomnium for that but I used to listen to Lose to Night at work and legitimately cry so I can't really listen to them at work anymore 😂 Beauty in death indeed. 🖤
The finnish melancholic breaks you down into pieces but same time you feel that you´re not alone! The leap of faith in the end.. Yes, there was no hale! It was Finnish leap of faith with snow amd to the snow! I think Ezio would liked it! Song and video was soooo beautiful! Finnish metal always works!
1:36 100% unintentional and yet impeccable Super Mario impression. Just had to put that out there. Also, that track kicked ass and I'm glad fires are starting to light up in the metal community again. Lots of bands are giving little sneak peeks of what they're up to recently and things to come.
After watching this, I went back to Heart Like A Grave and noticed a trend. His hair is always getting in his face and it drives me crazy. I want to reach through the video and brush it out of the way. That aside...great reaction, and LOVE the new single. Can't wait to hear more

This is the point when Insomnium starts to go round and didn´t actually make impresson. This sounds just like other songs of them. You can hear from far away that it is Imsomnium song but it is kind of backround noise that doesn´t bother but is kind of numb.
The song is nothing new to me I knew that they had studio booked sense last year. I'm sure that they played this song in instrumental form in their Heart Like A Grave. Sounds better and complete with the lyrics. Its either an ep or a new album coming out soon.
An excellent song, yet a perfect clone of previous Insomnium songs. It is fine if they don’t want to experiment with their sound, but I am rather disappointed by such repetitions.
If you love insomnium, you should also check out Maestitium. They have only made three "real" tracks so far, but they echo the sound of insomnium and are awesome.
