    Front row looks decent. Back row definitely needs to be redone. But I'm sure you learned a lot doing it for the first time.

    This is a design flaw on the part of VW. they should have made that part with some good rubber texture instead of problem clothes...

    Do u think its possible without removing the door panel? Not yours, because they Are thick, but a thinner ones.?

    • @derickstjean435
      @derickstjean435  Год назад +1

      It may be possible but it all depends if the door handle is where the fabric is going if it’s not obstructing it then your in the clear . I believe it easy to to install with it of the car as it makes application easier but if you tight on time go ahead and let me know how that goes.

      Trust me it needed to be replaced it was falling off on the other doors and the old glue was getting everywhere.

      @@derickstjean435 i know i have a mk5 and was looking at videos to replace mine, its a common vw fail, and has long has you like them, i wasnt trying to be rude i just didnt like the finish but its because of the material you use it seems heavy and hard to glue. I know its your baby and u want it to make it look different from others and original. I hope it last or you can always go back to like the original vw material that is softer and absorbs the glue better and its cheaper to buy at any upholstery store. Congrats and sorry if i sounded rude keep the good work practice makes perfect 😬 remember you will need to.replace the headliner soon if you havent done yet

    That thick material looks challenging work with; was it? thoughts on thinner material?

      Thanks for your comment. Yea it was kind of difficult where it needed to curve like around the handles but after I did the fist panel the others were easy . Yea for sure try a thinner material I used leather but you can try a fabric if that’s works for you
