Absolutely fascinating - I can't tell you how many times I would have stopped and called it finished if I'd been doing this, but you kept going and it kept getting better and better. Just goes to show how much I still have to learn!
I love seeing stylized drawings done with pencil crayon! It's such a fun medium and most of it's use online is for cut-and-dry realistic drawings. Super fun to watch, thanks for sharing!
Your style is something on another level, i don't want to compare with others, bc artists don't like it, but you are among the best, ty for sharing your process! Especially your unique skill to cut objects in such a pattern, that it both shows form and creates shape appeal on it's own, just to pull that off you need to think about lighting, positive and negative space and also using 6th sense and intuition/ muscle memory to create beautiful fluid flowy lines ALL AT THE SAME TIME + thinking about merging all those colors and also being free and playful with all that. Love it >_> P.s. (I'm not a goddamn simp alright)
This is amazing, thanks for sharing! I have just finished reading your tutorial book and it's great to see how you work. What kind of pencils are these, watercolour or just regular colour pencils or something else?
Omg finally got the time to watch this video and holymoly eliza your absolutely one of my favorite role models. Such a good understanding of anatomy values and hues. Just one question, what are those colour pencils?:)
I would like to know how you chose your colors and how you make them all work together (is it related to values ?) Also, when you do your illustrations, how do you come up with such original ideas ? And do you have an idea in your head before you start the piece or does it come as you progress ? Thanks ! I just ordered your sketchbook and can't wait to get it ;)
Eliza Ivanova If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you rely on them? Do you use them as inspiration and put them away when you start drawing or do you actively look at them while drawing?
@@qwertyuiopqwertyuiop-bb4mi it's been a while since you asked, but I heard a podcast where she was interviewed, and she more or less said she uses reference as a starting point, but tries to get away from it as quickly as possible. Especially when she uses a photo taken by someone else, she thinks it would be disrespectful of that person's work to take credit for artwork that sticks too closely to the reference. The podcast episode (Waiting to dry) is linked on her website.
