    Excellent straightforward easy to understand video, except you left the original strainer o-ring inside transmission case!

    It looks like to me. The old O ring was stuck on top of transmission.

    Great video, just an observation, when the engine is aluminum you have to be precise with the torque, screwing the bolts too tight my screw up the tread on the block causing that part of the pan to be loose and drain fluid, I did exactly the same job on a caravan just using my tight guess, after a while i saw some wetness on the pan and a little leakage that i need it too re tight . On my corolla 2015, with 130K I took it to Toyota dealer, they say they do not change filter just a flush, I preferred this time to do it in Toyota fro 180 cad, It is an easy job but the hard part is tightening the bolts precisely and adding the exact amount of Toyota fluid,
    So for the price of the (expensive) Toyota fluid and the labor, it was't too bad of a deal. 110 for 7L fluid + 70 labor and taxes, without stress
    Thanks for you video

    I didn't see you put the magnets back between the gasket shot and when you were bolting the pan up. Was that deliberate? Is there a legit reason to not put the magnets back?

    Good video, only it isn’t shown put magnets back on its places inside the pan before final pan’s installation. These magnets are important part of fluid filtering system and help to keep it out of metal particles.

    It is better if you use torque wrench for this job . Especially the transmission pan bolts and drain plug.

      he probably feels it, over time by doing it.
      Tho he didn't mention torque spec tho.

    how many quarters of transmission fluid for corolla 2012 for replace

    • @limamantapachitas
      @limamantapachitas 7 месяцев назад

      you can not change the total max quantity, that would take several changes, unless you flush it with a machine like I did in Toyota dealer.
      The advantage of this video is to change the filter, but is your choice

    I'm curious. The transmission filter you are using to replace the original is not even close to OEM, and seems rather cheaper. The OEM is over 100 bucks. The 14 dollar one you bought off of amazon hasn't caused any issue?

      I think it's fine. I use after market transmission filters and lately from Amazon with faster free shipping. Oil filters however always the best Fram ones I can find.

      It was never changed and had been driven 100k plus miles. You should change it every 60k miles or less if you do alot of driving.

      Pensé que había visto el viejo anillo "O" pegado a la transmisión. Es por eso que el nuevo filtro no encajó en su lugar.

    Comes with a rubber Oring on filter so be whatchfull when your doing that one other thing buy a plug aluminum seal when you buy filter if you don't no torc specs star padern, untill you see it squeeze then stop and always measure it put back what you dump DON'T Overfill it!!!

  • @JoseOrtiz-nw1rk
    @JoseOrtiz-nw1rk Год назад +2

    You have to change your transmission fluid every 30k miles drian and fill you also don't have to change your filter waste of money.

    Have you checked the alternator? It could be switched up with a carburetor for more fluid airflow through the shift column.
    Then, by process of convection, you will maintain pressure throughout the drive terminal, providing the drive terminal is centrally located UNDER the main pressure valve caddy corner to the secondary valves in the rear, which may or may not be eliminated entirely.
