I think the container/bottle is what makes the difference (@ least in some instances/IMO). So putting them in a paper cup equaled put the field pretty well. But (IMO) you can definitely taste the different plastics/‘metals’ that the bottle makes up, rapid they sit for awhile. Also cool/cold water will make a difference as opposed to room temperature.
I had weight loss surgery 4 years ago, before hand I loved water, my home town Wagga Wagga Australia has great water compared to other places, anyway after surgery I have struggled so much water was heavy to drink and would feel like a golf ball in my stomach after just 3 sips.. for years I had to drink fiji water because it’s the only one I could find that didn’t cause this pain. At the end of last year I finally found I could stomach a local sourced bottled water called big springs, I could add fruit flavoured protein powder to add some taste but oddly couldn’t drink fiji with the protein powders, it made the fiji water to heavy 🤷🏻♀️ go figure.. I just said to my husband watching you all, I don’t think I could tell them a part so much as I would know which ones sit heavy and which ones wouldn’t 😂I think he’s planning to challenge me now
Aaron! I knew a student that used water as a science experiment for the science fair! They were actually analyzing how “pure” the water was. I don’t remember all the results, but Dasani & Evian we’re the best! Aquafina was BAD! Another experiment was with their cats (you could use dogs). 3 bowls of water: warm, room temperature, & ice cold water. They measured what the cat preferred. Even though they may have tried each water, it only counted for the water they continued to drink from. Ice cold water was the favored water!
Thanks for sharing. Watching all these taste tests, made me realise that it is almost impossible to taste a liquid defined as (drinking/bottled) "water". However it makes me want to be more conscious about the purpose, need, use and share of water.
There's an excellent movie called Return To Me. I highly recommend! There is a scene where an annoying customer insists on a certain type of water. The waitress takes a bottled water and empties it. She then fills it up with tap water. When she gives it to the customer, the customer rants about how wonderful it is. 😂 This was a great video. It is my favorite of all your videos. However, according to this test today. I may be wrong.❤
I have the exact same go to water and least favorite water as Crystal! My favorite/ go to is Smart water, and my least favorite is Dasani! Love your channel!
I loved your water test! I am a total water snob myself!! One thing I think may have affected your test is the paper cups, I can not drink water from them because I taste the cup itself! I don’t think I would’ve done well picking out specific waters … but I’m 100% sure I could pick out the 3 waters I would drink vs all the other crappy waters ! Love your family … keep the vlogs coming! 👍
So frustrating that my smell and taste did not fully come back after Corona. It's been 6 months I recently read an article that you can retrain your brain to recognize scents. It is olfactory training . Olfactory training involves smelling strong scents such as roses, eucalyptus, cloves, lemon and other citrus.. You can use essential oils to carefully sniff the oil This stimulates the olfactory nerves in the nose to retrain the brain to detect smells. Smell the scent 20 seconds or longer while thinking of memories invoked of that scent. Stick with it. It can take up to 3 months to see progress. This was from a Health Partners website. I'm going to start the regimen tomorrow.
I was surprised by the prices at the end. Here, in Atlantic Canada, Dasani and Aquafina are the cheaper waters and also my favourites.....one brand I can't stand is Nestle pure life water. That has a weird taste to it! Although, the best water is straight from the ground! Good ole well water or spring water that hasn't been modified is the best!
@@brittanypurpur2933 can't stand the taste of nestle pure life... I've gotten it at Giant Tiger a few times bc they sell it less than a dollar, but I find it has such a weird taste.
I don't care for desonsi water but aquafina I drink if I have too as aquafina upsets my stomach. I love spring water and propel flavored water or my circul bottle
In the UK if I'm home ill just drink tap water. If I'm out and about I buy the cheapest brand I can get. Its usually out of 3 brands though which are Evian, Volvic or Buxton. I wouldn't be able to taste the difference though out of the bottled ones.
Taste altered months ago to an acetone or metalic taste by a flu. Smell was reduced too. A slight amount of the senses have returned over time. Drinking lemon juice (with ginger) has been easy. The hardest part has been convincing the the stall attendant of my drink request.
Yes Joe..my taste and smell have not come back right! I can't smell most of the time. And when I can..nothing smells like it used to. It's really weird and annoying. I'm so mad about it.
I buy sams , great value. To me water is water unless I add a flavor to it. We’ve always kept a pitcher of water in the fridge, way before they started selling water bottles.
Not sure I could identify all the others because I only drink PurAqua Spring Water from Aldi. They have a filtered, possibly RO type water that I didn't care for, but the moment I tried the Spring Water I knew this is my jam. I loved Spring and well water as a kid and our small town had very good tasting tap water. I live in a different state now and am very thankful I found PurAqua. Seems every event I attend here seems to want to serve WalMart or Sams Club water which has a oily film in it and literally says mineral water on the bottle....it is horrible. Although cold water can be nice on occasion in the blazing heat...I actually prefer room temp water. Hears a tip I discovered by chance for reusing your plastic water bottles. If you cook anything with oil or grease ( I use a cast iron skillet from time to time with some vegetable or canola oil), instead of pouring the leftover oil right into the trash can and for all that's Holy not down the drain...put the bottle in the drain, it will hold it upright, insert a funnel ( I have a metal one which I would say is preferred in this situation ), and fill the bottle with the left over grease. The bottle will immediately twist in on itself, but amazingly, I have not had a single PurAqua bottle melt or rupture and as it cools, the bottle relaxes to it's original shape and then just put the cap back on. Drop it in the trash and there's no mess, no damage to the trash can and the bottle has served a second purpose. If you try this with any other plastic bottles , placing them in the drain will serve as a fail-safe if they do indeed melt or rupture. Also, do not try to handle the bottles until they have cooled down.
I don't have a favor water. I'm like u guys, after all water is water as longest it takes my thirst away I'm happy.. Loved everyone's reaction.. This was a good idea
You guys, please try the Fiji water again, it's spectacular! All I drink is water & have tried them all. I promise you...FIJI FIJI FIJI all the way!!! woo hoo I feel like making an all fiji outfit now! HAA HAA
Yes you can use the excuse that your taste buds didn't come back right. Mine didn't either. So now I only eat food with lots of flavour otherwise I don't enjoy my meal. If the flavour is subtle I can't notice it any more. Lucky for my I stopped being a chef a few years ago, and only cook for myself and friends now lol
Exactly the same for me. Two things that do taste extremely powerful to me though is salt and sugar. For some reason if food has salt in it it tastes way too salty and it's the only ingredient I can really taste. It overpowers all the other flavors to the point it drowns them out. My mom and I both have good and bad days and it's been almost 2 yrs since covid. One day I can taste things and they taste pretty good but the next day suddenly I can't and everything is either really bland with no flavor or tastes really weird because I'm only picking up on one or two ingredients in it so it throws off the flavor completely. My son hates my cooking now because he said I season everything too much but to me it's perfect??? When I couldn't taste or smell at all with covid the only two things I could still kind of taste was salt and sugar. Like with sweets I could taste the sweetness from the sugar but it was like just licking plain white sugar with no flavoring. All the actual flavors like vanilla, chocolate or strawberry were completely gone and it just tasted like plain white sugar. Super weird. Also meat smells really weird to us now. It smells like rotten eggs. It just a really strong sulfur smell which is an indication the meat has gone bad so we end up throwing it away even though my son says he doesn't smell it. I just can't cook it wondering if it's bad or just my nose messed up. It's not all the time but I'd say 1/5 times it smells rotten or off to her and I. Covid did some really weird things. We also have an issue where our tongues suddenly feel swollen and huge. It gives you anxiety because it feels like it's getting so big it's gonna cut off your airway. It just will randomly start feeling weird and big and about 30 minutes later it goes back to normal. I've read others have had similar issues after covid as well. Just so weird lol
@@queenbee8235 Ive always been sensitive to salt and things tasting to salty. I have found it better using a low sodium salt though. So that might help you. I only find things over sweet if it's fake sugar. Although now I can only drink coke zero instead of normal coke because normal coke tastes weird. I'm guessing your in the USA, I'm in the UK so staying away from fake food is easier for me and doesn't send me bankrupt every week. As for your meat smelling off I have no idea about that. Looks like you need to find the sweet spot with your cooking so that your happy eating it aswell as your son lol. I know that's hard you could try adding a small amount of seasoning, taste it, then adding more until you can just taste it. Then take a portion or 2 out for your son and then add more flavour for yourself. Yes more washing up lol also try adding the salt last, get the other flavours right 1st then add a very small amount of salt to balance the flavours. That what salt is supposed to do anyway balance and bring out other flavours. But I know salt is very over used in the USA I've spent alot of time there.
I have highly sensitive taste buds and I can taste differences in the waters but still can't tell most of them by taste. I prefer my water have a taste so I drink Hint water.
I'm lucky and don't have to buy water, it's fresh from the tap, then chilled in the fridge. I live near the ACT in Australia, there are a few big dams in the region.
You have to try and test while temp is not cold. Every time my water gets room temp that’s when the nasty taste comes out. I call it the tap water taste. Doesn’t happen with the cheap Kroger water. That’s the best for me.

I think you should have tasted the waters all at room temperature- I have an easier time tasting a difference when they aren’t cold…
You should try doing skittles blind folded and see if you can taste the different flavor cause they say it’s all in our heads
It's not😂 m&m-s on the other hand, yes

I agree with you, that temperature and material can totally change taste and smell of water.

Best and most fun video so far! I have a very averse reaction to Desani water.
This was fun. Don't know if I could identify the different waters but I think I could identify some of them.
We travel a lot with our dogs, some bottled water gives them uti’s. We stick with Ozarka or Zephyrhills when we’re in Florida.
Very interesting.
Joe, maybe the Black Water is Gilbert's water, aged to perfection.😬
What it proves is it’s all in your mind
you can cleanse with black coffee. Same with perfumes, you can cleanse with smelling coffee beans

There’s still a difference taste in a few waters
Best water i ever tasted was from my grandmother’s well. So good. So cold!
The water I like is straight out of the fridge connect to the sink
Ice mountain is the best that's the only waters my family drinks
Dasani is my #1, Voss and Smart Water are a close 2nd, and I absolutely hate Aquafina!
Dasani has salt and sugar added to it so no wonder you like it it's meant to not actually replenish you so you keep drinking it
There are parts of Australia where access to any water at all is a problem and people are dying young because they develop kidney failure.
I think the taste comes from the bottles. I can drink Smart or Life water, but the spring water, in the dispenser, has a taste to it.
I know the only reason I choose core or smart water is for the electrolytes and ph when I'm low and sick, otherwise I go for cheap.
Oh no Melinda we can't be friends anymore, Voss is literally the best watery
Room temp next time for sure, love the video!
Im going to do this the next family get together. We each have a favorite and a “hate” brand.
I know somebody that had covid and their taste buds didn't come back or their smells joe
I do spring water that taste best
I feel like they could taste a little different at room temperature but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter water is water, so get whatever you can afford. That’s my opinion.
I like the Dasani water better than any other water
I actually struggle with drinking water no matter if it’s regular tap or from freezer or bottles 😊
The only waters I drink is well water, Mountain Spring water and Smart water...I don't like the taste any other water and I can't drink Nestle or Dasani water because of the sulfates that is in them (I get hives)

Regular water gives me indigestion but love propel flavored water
Hi beyond crazy I hope you all test water
Try them all at room temperature you can usually tell a difference
Good evening crazy family, to me water is water, the only water I don't drink as long as I can avoid it is Evian, it leave an after taste in your mouth,
and I'm a water baby, I can drink in 12-18 hours about 2 gallons of water,
Dasani and Aquafina gives me heartburn
We tested 20 different waters with test strips Fiji was the top rated for purity & acidic levels we have to consume 8.0 or higher on ph level
U all should drink more water..lol. I drink 5- 16oz bottles a day. And Joe our water sucks also, so many chemicals in it. I miss my well water..
ICE. MOUNTAIN. 🤤
Rap Water, Aquafina, Dasani come from the same source, municipality cleaning facility, Reverse osmosis, just manipulate the H2O structure
I could not do it bc I only drink walmart purified water. Lol bc it’s cheap for a lot of water
You know you’re rich when you drink core and smart water the most above all. Like I can’t even afford deer park
YES Joe after covid my brother lost his taste to food so yes you can use that excuse 😀😆
Have the teenagers do it!! I bet, they'd get half right
