Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well!
I never get homesick, I just get sad leaving my family behind,, so I'm alright now!
Met some friends from my year today, and it made things a lot easier for me to handle.

I'm about to graduate soon. Trust me. Uni/College will be one of the most important/best stage in life. Make friends, join clubs and sooner you'll have your own little family in Akita. hahaha. ;)
Steph Choi I totally understand ....what u're goin through.... m too an international student....studying at canada ......originally the plan was 2 settle down in JAPAN !!!! Cuz I luv JAPAN!!!!! the culture, the food, the people , ANIME😍 but yea....it's only been 2 months in canada & I always end up crying at night cuz of the whole missing or family thing
Steph Choi I personally get homesick really easily especially when I can't see my family for a long time >.< I'm so sure everything will work out for you Steph, you just have to keep going and being positive as always. Beginnings are always difficult but afterwards you will see how much this experience was useful for overcoming you fears ^^

Hi Steph!! I understand how you feel, I go to a university that is far away from my family. I hate leaving them every time, and I miss them every day. When I get down, I always think about how blessed I am to be going to a university when others cannot and about all of the experiences that I am thankful to have. I hope that can help you whenever you feel down at school!! You will see them again :D I wish you the best at uni and I hope you have a wonderful term! :)

I'm also a college student so i can understand what you are going through , even i miss my family a lot . Be strong
Regular exercise and a balanced, varied diet are the most important to mental alertness, second only to having consistent sleep patterns. Try to sleep and wake up at close to the same times everyday, and try to avoid sleeping in (more than 8 hours) even on weekends. Hope you feel better soon :) keep us updated with your adventures. Fighting!

Ah I never really comment on RUclips videos but I just wanted to say we're all cheering for you Steph! So excited for you as well to start this new journey :) when I moved away from home it was very tough at first but I eventually found my niche and now this is my home!

I am planning to study abroad at Akita university! Currently, a junior in high school but hopefully my sophmore year of college I can study there.
Stay strong Steph, even though it's hard in the beginning, it will get easier as time goes by! Plus, don't forget all of the memories you will make at university, and seeing your family later will be all the more enjoyable :)
look on the bright side, how fun it will be to come home to the family on holidays. Meet new friends and have e a great time at uni.

Have fun at uni, hope you'll become close friends with your roommates soon! Also, if you are worried about not being able to vlog properly in your room, may I suggest investing in some sound absorption foams? They can be relatively cheap and should help a little in reducing noise coming out of your room.

if you have a small room like me you can put the bed against the other wall and move the library. So the desk can be all on the window! :P a little bit of space helps a lot.

Hey Steph!! Going to Uni again must have been a really hard but good decision in the end!:) I hope you enjoy it to the fullest cause it's not just about studies, but making lifetime friends and having some of the best memories to look back on! I wish I did it (I commute to college) but hopefully you have good roomies. ***Also the reason why I waned to post a comment in the first place was to advise you not to count your calories and worry so much about that stuff.. as long as you eat healthy portions and exercise, then that's perfect. Please don't obsess like you did in the past, your mind won't get better that way. Take care and good luck:)

Phew, I almost thought thats the end of your vlogging.
I'm going to be sad when I leave for college in 1.5 years. I'm going to miss my family a lot and my parents are going to cry their eyes out because their oldest child is going to live on its own. Good luck steph!

Akita international university is the one i really wanted to go.. but it is hard to go there from Turkey. It has magnificent library.. make a video there please! In nakajima library!! おねがいします
