      @@BradleyTeaches labelling every single object. My keynotes have hundreds of elements many of them the same small line as part of a diagram and I've been unable to label them from the build order. Seeing you open the object list is new to me.

      That’s cool! Just those little things that can make production/workflow that much more efficient. I realized it’s also a requirement to get ‘magic move’ to work correctly… a bunch of objects with the same name (usually due to copy/pasting) will break magic move and give unexpected animation results.

    I am assuming if I made the strokes green as well as the background, export to iMovie, I can green screen the clip and make it seem as if I am writing over video (I will try it and see if that works)

    • @BradleyTeaches

      Great question! Make line segments and work on the timing by using “with” and “after” to make them look smooth.

  • @charliezxi

    Nice work. I suppose you could make it transparent if you started with a black box in the lower third.

    • @BradleyTeaches
      @BradleyTeaches  Год назад +1

      Depends on the technique being used. Now if you have green screen capabilities in your video editor/live streaming app you can use “green” and make it transparent.

    Nice. 👍. How do I do this on an iPad?

    • @BradleyTeaches
      @BradleyTeaches  Год назад +1

      I don’t use iPad keynote enough to say honestly. It does have many of the same builds as the desktop version, but the biggest downside to iPad is that it cannot export apr4444 (transparent movie) files.
      If you do full screen animations that don’t need transparency you could do the builds- I think that iPad can export ‘regular’ videos but will need to look that up.

  • @EhradioCanada

    Absolutely awesome you make the complex simple I've been trying to figure this using magic move, it sort of worked, but not as good as this thank you so much. I would like to know how add background music to the animation I can only get it to run for about 2 seconds it would be great to add background music to the animation without having to put it through imovie thanks

    • @BradleyTeaches
      @BradleyTeaches  Год назад

      You have to add the audio to the slide and have it play as long as the animation is going. If you plan to export it as a transparent video, you’ll need to export as an HEVC, those videos allow exporting with audio.

    Everything worked fine for a while, but then I lost the line draw selection in build out when trying to animate. How can I fix? Any replies are welcome from anybody who knows how to fix the problem.

    • @BradleyTeaches
      @BradleyTeaches  Год назад +1

      Line draw is only an option if you have drawn a line with the line segment tool or have an outline on a shape. I don’t know if there is any other reason the option would disappear.

      @@BradleyTeaches Thank you Bradley. I tried again after reading your reply and discovered that I actually need to select a drawn line to get the option. I appreciate your interest. Although iPad does have a lot of the animations like the desktop version, the iPad cannot export in Apple ProRes4444 that creates transparency.

    I have a logo that is my signature. Does this technique work with a logo or does it have to be font?

    • @BradleyTeaches
      @BradleyTeaches  3 года назад

      You could use the ‘scribble’ technique to reveal the logo. If the logo is a line drawing, it would be possible to use the tracing example from the video. If you sent me a link to see your logo I could give you more insight.
