Lamb Mandi instant POT | Arabian Mandi | MRB

Mandi ‘ is very popular in Yemen and Saudi Arabia as well as other Gulf Countries. Very similar to Kabsa, the main difference is the method of preparation. Mandi rice is traditionally cooked very slowly - over a long period of time. The rice, spices and water are cooked together in special underground clay ovens. This is a pretty quick version that I tried in the instant pot. But the basic Mandi Masala is the same either you make it in Instant pot or bake it 2 hours in the oven. pressure cook time 40 is it in medium or high,,,didnt understand..pls
rice how you set..pls

For meat I pressure cook for 40 min because I use instant pot so it’s only one speed that is high.
For rice … for every 1 cup of rice I use 1.4 cup of water ( water can be from the meat that you cook before in instant pot) and either I use the rice mode OR pressure cook for 7 minutes. After it’s done wait for 10 min and then pressure release and open the lid. Remember I am talking about instant pot Not a regular pressure cooker.

Cook as long as you want …. In instant pot 45-50 min should be good enough
