    Mr. Holland,
My late wife's grandfather, Capt. Thomas D. Warner, was the CO of the USS American Legion when they landed elements of the 1st MarDiv on 7August 1942. I am sorry my wife is not still alive to see your RUclips channel.

Listening to you both makes me want to go back and read the Tregaskis book. I read it the first time in 48 years ago(!) when I was in the 8th grade.

Loved the Jibber Jabber Dave and Joe, quality indeed. No matter how much you hear and read on the Goettge Patrol there's always another stone to be upturned on the subject. I recently found a 16mm reel on an interview Grandpa (Frank Few) did on the Goettge Patrol titled "Guadalcanal, one mans memories" filmed by the ABC here in Australia in the 70's i believe. I'm working on a projector and will try and digitise it...
I also have a copy of that Leatherneck Magazine edition Joe mentions, happy to send a .pdf copy.

Thanks mate. Would love to see that film. Also if it’s no worries send the pdf of the article to me via email.

I read an article a few months ago that a US Coast Guard Cutter was denied access to Guadalcanal. The gist of the article is that the Chinese are having an increasing influence on the local government there, is this true?
