I think this might belong to the same school of thought as something a friend of mine does.
In the UK we have "Trebor Extra Strong Mints" - he eats a couple of those and then drinks coffee
Any strong mint flavour would work - this is "takes your breath away" levels of mininess we're talking about here tho!
It definately changes the taste of the coffee - or indeed anything else you taste for about 30 mins

"This dread that I feel in the pit of my stomach", "It is most certainly not awesome", "That makes me sad", Morgan describes taking a 4D hit...
Redemption? 10:30 Pepper corns are highly soluble, heed their warning. I would defiantly chose your version over the current fad. If you plan to modify Morgan's result, you can use the onion rule of flavor, with the same 50g. The smaller the onion is processed in to, the more onion flavor will be produced.
I am tempted to build you a removable floor for sliding. Think of an 8' long slip-and-slide for socks that fits between the island and counter. High gloss molding on the sides may auto center you like the kids rails at a bowling ally.

Okay, at first I was confused, but the moment you said "China", I feel like it makes more sense. I'm from Taiwan, and one of the jokes my friends and I make about the "uniqueness" of our Taiwanese food is topping a food item it off with chopped green onion(灑滿蔥花!). But of course, this is not limited to places in Taiwan, China most likely have regions that do that, too; and thus, the food item gain that specific 'green onion taste'.
The whole "scooping the green onions" is no different than how some of the soups are being enjoyed in our cultures as well.
At this point, I feel like people can understand that this is more of a regional-preferenced taste rather than something that appeals to the widest audience. The type of familiarity that the taste and texture evokes is probably what they are trying to achieve.
With that being said, this is all just my educated guess. If anyone actually had one of these drinks and liked it, their opinion would probably be more valid than mine. XD

I heard that the root part of a spring onion has a lot of umami flavor. I bet you can do something with that!

Not that I encourage this but I would have thought maybe a bit of nutmeg like you would put in Bechamel might help with the dairy onion marriage...I sure won't try it but if anybody does let me know :) :)

Thailand and China coffee drink variation sometimes go to the extreme length in which their neighbouring countries still feel "Nah, i'm sticking with the common ones".

I was thinking an olive oil coffee a la chili crisp (but with the onions) or caramelized onion latte.

I was measuring out blueberries earlier today, hit exactly 100.0 grams, and also took a picture with my phone as proof lmao.

I think the only way to make this work is if you start with Vidalia onions (the candy onion), caramelize them in a skillet, and then make a jam/jelly out of the onion. So you can either mix in or have them suspended like a boba tea.

I’m halfway through the video rn
Idk what the final approach will look like, but I feel like you could do something interesting with sweetened condensed milk. Like a Vietnamese iced coffee with a hint of green onion, or green onion grass jelly bits in the bottom

What about a Taro coffee? I love milk tea with taro and brown sugar boba - what about a brown sugar latte with a tarp milk foam on top?

I'm curious if sauteying or caramelizing the onions would work with the dairy?
