    Prasanna was much better than Tanvi. She kept getting nervous as Prasanna came with more facts. Prasanna replied very well in terms of sports and science.

    I honestly don't think China is even considering India as their competitor,,,they are aiming for countries like Japan, Germany, and USA. India should bring up their average income first before talking about being a super power, just what the Chinese are doing.

    I am really amused by the judges decision quoting that the girl has better debating skills then prasanna,who left no stone unturned talking about the cultural political economical technological developments rather than merely speaking facts comparing both countries like the girl # in my opinion the boy wins

    No doubt it is India. Being Indian born,having lived in USA 16 years,this is what people in USA believe . Though China is larger in Size, seem better advanced today , most of it is pseudo, likely to melt away in coming years .The modern youth of India have the grit and capacity to reach this position .Even in USA today Indians are envied to take all plum jobs as they qualify .You don't hear complaints on Chinese ,even though their number in USA is much much larger than Indians ,Wait for another 10 years you will see things shaping up to above.

    Tanvi I know that was a debate however you also need to understand you are an Indian after all. You know things have been going really bad in past decade in India I am sure you know the reason. Mr. Modi said we need to catch up is because he understands that because of this last decade we have lacked behind. Never mind happy as an Indian that you won. We as an Indian Promise, you would see a different India in Coming Future. By the way my Name is Lokesh Chettri and Proud to be an Indian

    China is powering ahead. The wide divide is greater bigger and bigger. China is now powering ahead to move even faster in AI and Robotic....60 years of hardwork is now bearing fruits from all sections of Chinese society. In 2030, the technology gap between China and the rest of the Western World will get wider and wider. India in 2030 will also change for the better.....however, India will have to put in a lot of investment in technical skill upgrading, infra structure development and expanding its manufacturing base to make all kind of products...even if they are low end. Work hard, sell at low price, compete....Trade with China and learn from China....and soon India will become prosperous and accumulate wealth for more high tech investment.Transformation of India is not just 10 or 20 or 30 years......it will take India at least 50 years just to be behind China....And this is already a great achievement. If India does not transform itself, then the divide between india and China will be wider in 2030 and even wider 50 years from now.

  • @yangzhenjen3985
    @yangzhenjen3985 6 лет назад +1

    India really need alot of hard work, stamina and endurance to surpass China in 50 years only. Not possible in 2030 .....The difference in China innovation and advanced technology is too vast. The divide may be narrowing.....but India has to make it by real hard work, stamina and endurance and swallow bitter pills by being humble , to lie low and abibe by time. Otherwise to match China will be a long long time away....Please stop dreaming it will happen even in 50 years. India did not understand what goes into the China Way. Whoever believe China would even surpass USA and Europe in advanced technology? Because China lie low and abibe by time.....and made it......Real power is Olympic Power...and it is here India failed very badly.....All top military powers belong to the top of the Olympic Chart. It is disappointing India loses out to many small nations. India need to shape up, be more organised....put in more hard work for at least 50 years or more.

    It is too early to think of India to see as Asia's Super Power
    compared with China. Right now China is ahead of India
    & it takes many many more decades to catch up
    China in the field of development. If Mr. Narendra Modi
    Prime Minister of India, continues to be in power for
    20 years, India may match China in the field of development.

      @harpreetmangat918 8 лет назад

      +Nana Lord The economics of China are based on the 2nd largest economy. Ie Japan. China is right next to it, thus benefited from it. So Japan, invested in China, CCP just rules China, they didn't build it. The early Hans did. Don't believe what the CCP tells you.

    • @AAABBB-rd8ei
      @AAABBB-rd8ei 8 лет назад

      harpreet mangat First, China is the second largest economy, not Japan. Second, China's neighbours, including Japan, Australia and South Korea depend on China, instead of vice versus.
      I don't know where you got your information but I assume your source is more unreliable than the CPP.

  • @siddharthkorukonda7662
    @siddharthkorukonda7662 6 лет назад +2

    The thing is, both said good points. But to say my point, one of the main reasons why China is doing better than India in terms of economics is because the fact that China openly trades all their manufactured goods in foreign countries like the USA, but USA is only allowed to trade a certain percentage in China. This led to two outcomes. The first being that China having a huge economy and the second outcome was the fact that Trump put sanctions on China. Additionally, Chinese communism may be a bit better today with Xi Jinping as leader but democracy stands for people's rights and this means that India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is doing better than China than human rights. Chinese people may be happy with the type of government they have but democracy is for the people and this makes India stronger in human rights. Additionally, new steps that Modi took to change India was successful. But China on the other hand, has a lot of unfairness going off with their economy and to only allow to trade a certain portion of imported goods in their nation is completely unfair and unlike India. Overall, even if China and India are big global superpowers from Asia and you can't naturally say that one is better than the other, like Prassana said, India is doing better if you go into the deeper statistics and all that unfair economic things China does to other nation.

      +cliff woodbury human kind is no longer reeligated to the earth. if we work together we can push into the space age. International Zones
      When you look at the worlds demographics you will see our planet is a world of segregation. The things that seem to matter the most are our differences and not our similarities. Right now the world as a whole is segregated no different than the United States was a half a century ago. And even though the United States has a far way to go; there has been progression. The world on the other hand hasn’t even tried to put aside its racist problems. The term “were all in the same boat” is the perfect way to describe humanity. Until the day we integrate we will always find ways to separate ourselves. At this present moment we only have one place to call home. Were so busy fighting each other that we are well on the way to sinking our ship. One of the biggest problems facing the world now is the unfair proportioning of land between people of different races. The imperial age has gave a few select countries huge tracks of land and has left others with humongous populations that have been confined to spaces too small to properly take care of their populations. Imperialism is gone only in name; to the trained eye it stairs you slap in your face. The European powers have left their mark on the world; to this day it is the cause of many of the wars we face up to today. You have two countries in particular; Russia and Canada whose humongous tracks of land stand vacant and will never be filled by their small European populations. Russia for example is a country of less than 150 million (less than 22 people per square mile) and is actually losing its ethnic Russian population as we speak. Within less than 80 years it is predicted that the population may drop below 120 million people. Three fourths of its population lies in its European territory but this land only accounts for a quarter of its land mass. Siberia is a vast emptiness that is over two times the size of the United States and will never be filled by the Russians. Canada is no different; another dinosaur from the Imperial era. With a population of 35 million people and 4 people per square mile Canada like Russia is a humungous waste of human potential sitting untapped. These countries Imperial selfishness’ are hurting the world’s progression and taking a toll on all the planets citizens.
      By creating these international zones you are creating a solution to overpopulation and stripping one of the biggest reasons why countries make war; living space. A prime example of this is China who invaded Tibet to create more living space for its populace. While I do not agree with China taking Tibet and the displacement of the Dalai Llama (who I believe is the most holy man in the world) it is hard to blame the Chinese. While they are poorly utilizing their lands (populations are congested in the eastern provinces while the West lies largely unpopulated) The Russians are claiming a land that they will never populate, and the few settlements they have established are in poor economic condition. But being that no country wants to feel slighted or at a disadvantage you couldn’t hand China or any other 3rd world country large chunks of Siberia. A land grab would ensue and in the mayhem countries would go to war. These territories would have to be governed by international rules to keep from confrontation. This is very unlikely to happen; the European powers have already split Antarctica into unofficial zones for their future exploitation and colonization. Of course the world has changed since these agreements and they will not stand the test of time. By the time it become inhabitable the European powers will be far outnumbered and outgunned by many of the countries that are now beginning to emerge as world powers. So instead of waiting for millions or billions to die for land that should have changed hands long ago, we should set aside past differences and do what we know is best for all of us.
      There are people proposing that humans began selling real estate on the moon and mars to pay the way for future settlement. Economist believe that in doing this we will make settlement of these solar bodies far cheaper; and with the vast resources they booth hold we will take a far shorter time to reach these destinations. To me that is absurd and I don’t understand the philosophies behind these goals when there are humongous tracks of unused land on earth that can be sold and settled for far cheaper. The human race is always trying to recycle in a pursuit to utilize our reassures more efficiently but one of our greatest assets is land, and we are doing a poor job of its management. It is common knowledge that every square mile of land can only be so lucrative; having it to empty is no better than having it to full. There are countries were the population densities are so high; when you couple this with the lack of land resources it is almost impossible to create a productive society. So instead of buying property that lies millions of miles away; the world could set up a committee that would decides the portions of Canada and Russia that are being underutilized and then form international zones to be populated by people . Setting up international banks would draw business which in turn would bring the populace. With the melting polar ice caps and artic permafrost in quick retreat major cities would soon line the tundra and artic shores, in turn expanding world trade exponentially.
      Many individuals worry that these migrants will overpopulate their new homes because of the historically high 3rd world birth rates; the records seam to show it unlikely. It is a proven fact that once individuals are placed in better economic conditions they produce far less children; other deciding factors that will lead to lower birth rates are the far North’s extremely cold temperatures. So taking all this into account; if the following trends persist as records show them usually do these new international citizens would have far fewer children then they would have in their previous predicaments. Witch will help with the over populating world (I don’t believe it’s over populated; we are just horrible managers) Dispersing of over populated countries to Russia and Canada would alleviate the burdens of these denser populated countries and make creating a proper living environment a lot easier for the poorer governments. Also it would improve the worlds overall economy many times over. South East Asia is right now experiencing the same grown that China did in the previous decades and in 20-30 years could pay to move many of their people to the new international zones. These lands wouldn’t have to be set aside for former 3rd world countries only. This would be a great opportunity for the Caucasian countries to diversify their populations and move many of their populations to the international zones, or to some of these other tropical areas which would have recently been vacated. In this way the world’s population would resemble a far more a diverse populace. As the world’s climate rises and the water levels do the same, many of the developed and developing countries coastal cities will flood. The only way around this catastrophe will be to build floodwalls; these will cost countries trillions of dollars. We will not beat Mother Nature everywhere. With the wide tracks of new space you could plan and make Africa a paradise. Many scientists believe that long after many of the world’s coasts are reshaped by raising tides, the African coast will remain largely the same due to higher coastal elevations and the continents proximity to the equator. If this turns out to be true Africa will be a continent ripe for economic opportunities. When you add the fact that all of the renewable energies that are improving yearly will eventually let Africa live an oil and natural gas free life; meaning energy would be free or cheaper than the rest of the world. Africa with the right management actually has the potential to be a far wealthier continent than any other on earth. It’s time to look to the future.

    I have this news for you who are debating this topic. India will never catch up with China if my personal experience this week is indicative of anything. I live in Malaysia where many people of both Chinese and Indian ancestry live. My wife hired an electrician of Indian ancestry recently to change all household lighting points in the house to LED lighting. He arrived with an Indian assistant and took a week to change all the points to LED lights. Recently, one of the lighting points failed to operate. Yesterday, my neighbour hired an electrician of Chinese ancestry to do the same transition to LED lighting for a house with an identical layout. He came alone and completed his work in an hour and charged a fraction of what I had to pay. Talk about productivity differences!
