+james acord Sorry for the late reply to this. If memory serves me correctly, Doug used a Milwaukee 55-Degree Close Quarter Drill. They run about $140 on amazon, but there are much cheaper off-brand drills out there.
Interesting process, but, I cant say I like the final result, it has too many sharp corners to chip, and the grooves will catch dust and debris, and be damn difficult to clean.
Well done Doug, you have inspired me to give it a go.
