Hey mate, I used a HEMA HX1 off-road GPS. It’s got maps loaded onto it and tells you exactly where you are. I also take a Sat phone with me for emergencies
Top video. A lot of work has gone into filming and editing . 10/10. 👍 I’m thinking of doing some/ all of this with a hybrid van as a test run for a Maralinga-Anne Beadell-Cook trip . That’s the plan anyway.🤞 Well done.🤞
This has been on my bucket list of places to visit in my home state, so thanks for sharing your trip ! Seems a bit like Fraser in some respects.. but without the trees.. and ocean :-) Did you do any special trip prep on the vehicle or any special packing for the trip ?
Hey mate, not really any prep, just getting a few things fixed from earlier issues. I checkout our Wiki Camps to figure out what was worth looking at and planned the trip around that. Definitely worth checking out!
Have been wanting to do this for a while just to say I have seen it. Did you enter from Dimboola? Enjoyed a couple of your videos so just subscribed. Cheers!
Thanks mate for sharing your trip 👍🏼
There is a certain beauty of the vastness of the little desert, deifnately on the list to check out. great vide cheers.
do you guys drive with a GPS? maps could get confusing and getting lost in outback Australia is pretty scary. How do you keep track of where you are?

Great video. Was up there a couple of years ago. Still amazes me that it's possible to feel so alone but not so very far from civilisation.
Thanks mate :) It’s quite an odd experience, only about 45 minutes from a McDonald’s but completely remote!
