    We visit Dimboola & the Little Desert to search for the most amazing birds! We find Australian Bustards south of the Big Desert, Mulga Parrots, Red-capped Robins, Jacky Winters, Brown-headed Honeyeaters & very cute kangaroos as well as a very friendly Brush-tailed Possum.
    We also visit Mount Zero, just on the edge of the Grampians where the rock formations are stunning!

      No worries! I hope it's an improvement 🙂 and thanks for your feedback! Without knowing what bothers the viewer, it's difficult to know how we can improve.

    Nothing compares to the Aussie bush. The wildlife there is awesome, and so is your photography. Well done - again.

      @@naturephotographychallenge They were such a part of our childhood that about two years ago we carefully extracted the largely intact text block from the tattered 50+ year-old binding and rebound them in extravagant and surreal fashion for the next generation. Now I wonder if they were maybe meant mostly to indoctrinate overseas children which is what we were (Canadian).

      @@bmolitor615 That's lovely to have them rebound. I'm on the wrong side of 50 and have never heard of them so maybe they were treasured by other countries than Australia??! 🙃 The Australian classics I know are "The Magic Pudding" and "Blinky Bill" but I grew up reading "The Magic Faraway Tree" (Enid Blyton, UK) 😄

    Thoroughly enjoyed that. I soooo want to photograph a Red Capped Robin and Mulga Parrot. Did you use a 4WD? Does one need a 4WD to access Little Desert?

    • @naturephotographychallenge
      @naturephotographychallenge  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Red-capped Robins are quite common, particularly in Bendigo so you don't really need to go that far to see one. We rented an SUV (not 4WD) but that was because we wanted to go see the Bustards & that road is notorious for being rough. Turns out we didn't really need it. The Little Desert is very accessible to visit the camp grounds & the lookout... but if you want to go down any of the other sandy tracks, then you definitely need a 4WD.
