I was 2 weeks ago in Amsterdam , attending a Nass el Ghiwane Tour in Europe.. The band has only the name , the players are all relatively knew ... he public is 3 = three generation later. Means kids are learning the texts an sing along the the lead singer . This is the links where you can see some extract.
This was In the Concert Gebouw/ Amsterdam . Amazingly the lead singer who was the main drummer too hypnotized the public..

The following is a modest tentative..for a start. Probably some of you can improve it or correct it.. The texts are very heavy and are directed to poor , neglected and disregarded low classes in Morocco, Maghreb and Arab areas. Sometimes the text looks ambiguous ..but it is not Their text, one has to hear them several times ..and see the context. Also several lectures an interpretations are possible depending on your mood or background. They avoid classical Arabic (sort of Latin for us ) and use dajreja ( i.e. popular language) .
I put my interpretations between brackets ...this remain my understanding of the moment)
