Does this song REALLY need lead guitar? Probably not. But I had TONS of fun with this one!!! Hope everyone enjoys! :D Solo productions by Carmen Sorge!!
man imagine steve being the lead guitarist of a metal band. on stage...everyone dressed like brutal motherfuckers and steve goes with his standard look and his faces while doing solo parts. propably would be the best live show ever...
+Giiggle I thought about writing to Disturbed manager or what have you with the link to that video, would be hillarious to see them playing on one stage.
Michael Lynn yes exactly me too XD. i just watched a video again a few hours again of a KSE concert, he is just so odd walking around, it's one of my favorite bands though
BW Drums It's a bandwagon thing. It's cool to make fun of them, I guess. I'm not a huge fan, but hey, they have more money and have enough talent to do what they want, so more power to 'em.
Joshua Hunter for a lot of people, it's not, actually. I legitimately dislike disturbed, and so do many other people. Their overproduced-sounding but also heavy sound doesn't really click and I think that is true for many other people. Or maybe it's just me.
Vashtheultimate Not saying there aren't people who legitimately dislike them, but considering 80% of negative things I see about them are "LOL wat fagg0ts!" I'm assuming it's a bit of a bandwagon effect.
Shinbu1128 I see what you mean, thank you for clarifying. I'm not a super big (or at all for that matter) part of the metal internet community, so I really wouldn't know I realize.
+Vashtheultimate I feel the same. I was in the 1st grade when "get down with the sickness" came out, and even then I knew I didn't like it for some reason, and everyone around me did. I just thought they weren't a good listen. Still don't.
I dont know, man. That would be cool, but the charm about Gojira is that they rely on al instruments to create their amazing and unique sound. If Stevie T does do Gojira, I am sure he will do them justice though.
Cesar Issac Mercado I get you man. The unique thing about Gojira is their overall instrumentation :P I just think it'd be interesting to see what Steven could do :D
The Guy dude, could you imagine what Dan could do if he had a rhythm guitar behind him!? Fuck. I just went to their show in Huntington, WV OCT 8th with the 'ultimate VIP pass" and played foosball with them and hung out, it was definitely the best 350 me and my girlfriend ever spent! In some videos on YT I can see my bald head up front bc you had pit access for the first three songs, autographed set list and special edition album cover, special edition poster, bandana, and a backpack were included too. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
Thanks Stevie!!! Now I can only listen to this version. The standard version lacks a lot now and when I listen to it all I hear in my head is this kick ass version! Haha awesome work. Been watching your vids a few years now and you never fail to entertain!
That was amazing! I wish these bands would play more solos. With all the space and the energy created by the vocals and rhythm section, there is shredding to be had!
Disturbed has tumbled downhill since their Believe album, but their new single brings back some of that old flavor....YOU on the other hand just made their new single bad ass bro! Great job
What I reeeeeally love about about this is that you really captured their sound with your leads. Like I feel like in the ADTR one its just you shredding over the song. But with this one its sounds as if disturbed's guitarist decided to shred thru the whole song. I really dig it
After a long time listening disturbed i've always thought that what if they had 2 guitarists. Congratulations you just convinced me. They NEED LEAD GUITARS!!!
Yes it fukn needs leads. Every metal song needs leads. Fuck sakes disturbed!!!!!! You're such a good band and were on the right track with indestructible, wtf happened?!! Take a page from Megadeth's book. 2-6 solos per song is required for a truly epic sound.
Toxic Potato I`m obviously not serious when I said 2-6 solos per song, that's what Megadeth is known for, and it's partly why they're one of the biggest hard rock/heavy metal acts of all time. Disturbed COULD BE in the same league as Megadeth one day if they upped their game a bit and at least put ONE solo per song. Songs just feel SO incomplete without any leads in them. A Day to Remember, for example. Their musicianship is terrible and the band suffers as a result. If they had a better guitarist who could actually play something soulful for a couple measures per song, they'd be way more popular than they are.
I feel like they're just complex enough to not need lead guitar, but it would be really cool to see lead guitar incorporated into the slower part of their songs.
Daron Malakian's playing style is EXTREMELY rhythm orientated.. I honestly don't think lead guitar would work too well in that overall playing style for most songs.. that being said, god damn I wish the man would solo more.
I love Stevie being so goofy all the time, but I would also love a video like with him being completely serious the whole time. Like a tutorial or something because he's a god at playing.
It's not. I would say it's actually better without theses leads, but you wouldn't know that because you didn't take the fucking time to listen to the original before this. Who the fuck does that?
Never heard this song (or I did ten years ago because Disturbed should be going through their song recycling phase now) but your leads fit perfectly. Everything sounded in place and very choice. Nice work!
Psychosocial don’t worry dude Metalheads and Nu-metal heads like to diss on disturbed because dramain prefers to use clear melodic vocals 24/7 They just don’t get it I’d much rather listen to disturbed than a lot of metal bands and I listen to /almost/ all genres of metal.
+Noah Smith im talking about playing style and skill for dan donegan. he doesnt get much of a chance to showcase any spectacular guitar work while playing for disturbed.
+AJ Alonzo you guys obviously havent heard stricken and other songs Dan Donegan actually plays some of the most amazing solos I've ever heard... perhaps educate yourself before posting rubbish
Then you are crazy good sir, it's not that it's what you think cause personally I don't care, it's that you are sitting here taking the piss out of Dan when he is widely known as a great guitarist... keep bad opinions to yourself and move on, RUclips would be a better place
Jesús Hard Rock Saying that Disturbed is one of the greatest "heavy metal" band in the world is one of the biggest insults you can give to the metal genre and metal listeners. Now that's being a dick...not what I had previously said..which is getting a few likes so...I'm not the only one with that opinion.
I love all your LEAD videos. Matter of fact all OF your videos. You are inspiring me to get better on my tapping techniques. Im gettin better but damn! Keep shredding 😃
Your semi-whistled "what is this?!" cracks me the hell up everytime I hear it. Subbed after binge-watching your channel. Greetings from Germany, keep it up, you're awesome!
I'm a disturbed fan and a lead guitarist...you improved that song imo..all your videos are hilarious and badass at the same time...very cool keep it up ..your videos are very unique and entertaining ...lml
I've always thought that Disturbed seriously lacks lead guitar. They had a lot other things to drag interest though. Not the best band in the world but I think not many todays metal-listeners can say they haven't listened Disturbed in some point of their life. The band is definitely one of the corner stones of todays (or past 10 years) metal, you liked it or not. Great video man.
Its interesting how he can play the sickest leads and yet manage to look goofy at the same time
***** I did indeed
Paontera Steve in a nut shell
Paontera I suppose this is what happens when you actually practise haha
Ya thats steve for ya
***** True.
man imagine steve being the lead guitarist of a metal band. on stage...everyone dressed like brutal motherfuckers and steve goes with his standard look and his faces while doing solo parts. propably would be the best live show ever...
+Giiggle I thought about writing to Disturbed manager or what have you with the link to that video, would be hillarious to see them playing on one stage.
+Hikkikomoru jepp definetly :D
It's interesting you say that.
Adam Dutkiewicz from Killswitch is who I think of when I see Stevie play.
Michael Lynn yes exactly me too XD. i just watched a video again a few hours again of a KSE concert, he is just so odd walking around, it's one of my favorite bands though
@@RainbowTriggers YES!
I had no idea so many people dislike Disturbed. I've barely heard any negative comments towards them in my time.
BW Drums It's a bandwagon thing. It's cool to make fun of them, I guess. I'm not a huge fan, but hey, they have more money and have enough talent to do what they want, so more power to 'em.

Gojira with lead guitar \m/\m/\m/\m/
Gojira for the win!
OfficialGATG Fancy seeing you here!
I dont know, man. That would be cool, but the charm about Gojira is that they rely on al instruments to create their amazing and unique sound. If Stevie T does do Gojira, I am sure he will do them justice though.
***** I happen to be a fan of Steven like yourself I assume :)
Cesar Issac Mercado I get you man. The unique thing about Gojira is their overall instrumentation :P I just think it'd be interesting to see what Steven could do :D
Mozart with lead guitar!

xisumavoid woah didnt expect you here you watch literally everything
What are you doing here X?
ChiliLP I like how people try to start random conversations with popular youtubers just to get some attention.
^ I like that also
Disturbed would sound so much better with a second guitarist. I really love this.
May I suggest "Avenged Sevenfold with BASS"?
DancingWithChickens Oh come on, Johnny did a great job with the wicked end. And just that, unfortunately...
Lmao at least it's not and justice for all
You can hear bass in all of them songs
dude.. Why aren't you a lead guitarist in a modern legendary band? You're fuckin incredible, man.
Great idea Steve. Sounded great. How can you not like the leads you added. Just made the song sound more awesome.
Enter Shikari with lead guitar.
Kevin Lee no need lead guitar
Sergio D no need to fangirl
Blink 182 with lead guitar..
Andy Campion Yes.
Kevin Lee Depends on what song, Rory C does some leady style parts here and there.

רועי סמוחה
His skills are an inspiration. Nobody comes close to the pure talent and skill of Lil Wayne.
+EverettGaming maybe lil wayne does need a lead guitar, like nick jhonas.
Lol
That run at 2:32 was SICK! The whole thing was awesome.
Thanks Stevie!!! Now I can only listen to this version. The standard version lacks a lot now and when I listen to it all I hear in my head is this kick ass version! Haha awesome work. Been watching your vids a few years now and you never fail to entertain!
2021, still coming back to listen to this, need some more content like this.
That was amazing! I wish these bands would play more solos. With all the space and the energy created by the vocals and rhythm section, there is shredding to be had!
I first heard this version of Disturbed's song, and now I cannot listen to the original version.
Thank you Stevie-T!
My life is now complete. That was some awesome-tasticalness.
The speed of his fingers makes me question life lol
Sounds freaking awesome!!!! You're the best Steve
Disturbed has tumbled downhill since their Believe album, but their new single brings back some of that old flavor....YOU on the other hand just made their new single bad ass bro! Great job
I just stumbed onto this old vid that I didn't even know existed, classic stevie doing what he does best
It's better your way.
What I reeeeeally love about about this is that you really captured their sound with your leads. Like I feel like in the ADTR one its just you shredding over the song. But with this one its sounds as if disturbed's guitarist decided to shred thru the whole song. I really dig it
Guy looks like a doofus most of the time, but he sure can play the guitar.
smokejc That's the point. lol
He's not a doofus. How can you say that?!
After a long time listening disturbed i've always thought that what if they had 2 guitarists. Congratulations you just convinced me. They NEED LEAD GUITARS!!!
Just saw this, I am a big Disturbed fan, love what you did with this!!
U totally rock Steve! Very creative and entertaining!

Yes it fukn needs leads. Every metal song needs leads. Fuck sakes disturbed!!!!!! You're such a good band and were on the right track with indestructible, wtf happened?!!

This is the type of thing Slash does with his songs, lead guitar all time even when Myles sings. Awesome idea for Disturbed too!
Do SOAD next.
As a pretty big Disturbed fan, I absolutely love this. :D
Chevelle with lead guitar please
I absolutely loved this version.
That was just phenomenal! Great, awesome job StivieT
I love Stevie being so goofy all the time, but I would also love a video like with him being completely serious the whole time. Like a tutorial or something because he's a god at playing.
Godlike!
For anyone who accused Steve for playing a heavy song with goofy face, don't get him wrong.that is actually his fierce ferocious face.
Those Marty Friedman bends!!
Awesome job Steve! Glad you had fun.
I don't know the original, but I expect it to be super disappointing after this
It's not. I would say it's actually better without theses leads, but you wouldn't know that because you didn't take the fucking time to listen to the original before this. Who the fuck does that?
javie elebario you need help
CJAdams97 Yes sir I do! but that don't mean I am deaf.
sanfordfscott66 got some sand down there maybe?
+Rene Meijer The original is far better than this tbh.
This is why this guy is my hero. He plays for the only reason one should. He truly enjoys it.
I actually like Stevie T's leads over songs moreso than the original songs. The ADTR song is a great example of this. This video did not disappoint.
The Vengeful Juan
These videos always inspire me to pick up my guitar and keep practicing
This made the song much more enjoyable....and I love disturbed so well done haha
Never heard this song (or I did ten years ago because Disturbed should be going through their song recycling phase now) but your leads fit perfectly. Everything sounded in place and very choice. Nice work!
Dat ending pose tho hahahaha ,awesome skills Steve.
I think we found the savior of Disturbed lol
Dude you make Disturbed worth listening to.
UI RBG 256 ehhh maybe tolerable? That's pushing it
Dude have you heard inside the fire?
Douche Disturbed is ALWAYS worth listening to
Psychosocial don’t worry dude
Metalheads and Nu-metal heads like to diss on disturbed because dramain prefers to use clear melodic vocals 24/7
They just don’t get it
I’d much rather listen to disturbed than a lot of metal bands and I listen to /almost/ all genres of metal.
Oh Steve, your facial expressions crack me up, but you are a legit badass!
nobody saw the 4:20 video length? XD
haha i saw
*hits blunt*
4:19 suck it
+Oliveira13 4:20
It's funny cos they write all their songs high lol
That intro is amazing!
Dude this is so sick! adds so much to the song! and the harmonics stuff in the chorus
Disturbed was cool when I was 11 years old
How old are you now? Like 12 or 13? xD
They still are cool.
Dellemand >90
there is a hint
Krios Uber Greater than 90?
Adamcky90 so you are 11 right now
Stevie You totally Killed it here !!!!!! Awesome
dan donegan better be taking notes
xD lol right
+Noah Smith im talking about playing style and skill for dan donegan. he doesnt get much of a chance to showcase any spectacular guitar work while playing for disturbed.
+AJ Alonzo you guys obviously havent heard stricken and other songs Dan Donegan actually plays some of the most amazing solos I've ever heard... perhaps educate yourself before posting rubbish
+The Jack Linger Project ive listened to stricken. im not impressed.
Then you are crazy good sir, it's not that it's what you think cause personally I don't care, it's that you are sitting here taking the piss out of Dan when he is widely known as a great guitarist... keep bad opinions to yourself and move on, RUclips would be a better place
You are probably the most accomplished goof in the world! I love your playing!
Almost made Disturbed listenable, almost.
My thoughts exactly
Still, though..major props to Stevie T!! He did an amazing job
Jesús Hard Rock lmao
Jesús Hard Rock Saying that Disturbed is one of the greatest "heavy metal" band in the world is one of the biggest insults you can give to the metal genre and metal listeners. Now that's being a dick...not what I had previously said..which is getting a few likes so...I'm not the only one with that opinion.
***** I agree totally. I'm starting to suspect that I was being trolled..I mean, come on..who would think that?
AMAZING JOB!! It really sounds incredible!!
Better than the original. Disturbed should pay you
Love watching this guy, crazy good
this is what this song needed. Good job man
I like how you "mimic" Donegan's solo/lead style instead of just creating random on-key solos. Good stuff, keep it coming!
I love all your LEAD videos. Matter of fact all OF your videos. You are inspiring me to get better on my tapping techniques. Im gettin better but damn! Keep shredding 😃
FUKKIN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your semi-whistled "what is this?!" cracks me the hell up everytime I hear it. Subbed after binge-watching your channel. Greetings from Germany, keep it up, you're awesome!
2:33 WOW - this is kind of Buckethead and Chris Poland style mash up. AMAZING!!
You totally rocked it! Mad skillz definitely!
that sounded badass!
Hot dude kicking ass and I think I saw some hip movements. Loved it!!!
I'm a disturbed fan and a lead guitarist...you improved that song imo..all your videos are hilarious and badass at the same time...very cool keep it up ..your videos are very unique and entertaining ...lml
Props to you man. Those are some sick rifts.
This was Godly like Rolling Stones gives u two thumbs up......
This is the version I always listen too. So good.
OMG dude this song sounds so awesome with your lead guitar
It needed it. Can't think of this song any other way now.
First time I have seen this. Bloody awesome
uploaded on my birthday last year lol good shit dude this kicks ass
This is so great !
Its a shame Disturbed does not have another guitar yet !
That ending tho... so tasty, so perfect. Awesome job, Stevie!
I never thought it was possible to make disturbed sound good.
Fantastic playing, and that's a badass guitar ya got there!
Damn man! Good job! Keep that up man! That made the song better by a mile in my opinion.
I really wonder why Steve isn't a part of any major band with these sick skills
Now, mate, THAT is the meat. Quite amazing indeed. Keep going. Would love to see more videos of the same sort. BTW the scruffiness suits you well.
Going on my Playlist in 2019
That was plain awesomeness.
Felt this song was missing something haha, amazing video and playing.
love what you did with the chorus, man. Good stuff.
just AWESOME!
