Ellen-thank you so much for developing this video. I’ve used the health app for years but never fully understood it or used all of its offerings. Your video makes it so clear-I will delve into it and get the most from it.
Thanks, I thought I know well about Heart App until review your Video. I checked as you mentioned. There are so many things. Our health is so important that especially senior should manage Wii. Thanks again.
Great job putting this video together. I don't have an Apple Watch(yet) but I noticed there are added features available with the watch. This was very educational and I did hit the subscribe button 👏🏼 Keep up the great work!
Very helpful. Thank you!! I have the series 9 arriving soon and I want to check my sons heart rhythm and heart rate for a few days before I begin using it daily. Any tips on how to do this? Thank you
Love your videos, Ellen! This video was very helpful, yet I don’t have an Apple Watch. I am choosing not to wear one only because of the EMFs. I do have an iPhone, but use a chip on the inside of my case to protect from EMFs. Not sure if anyone else cares about that kind of thing! Is that the only way to input the data into the health tracker or do you need to put the iPhone in your pocket all day long?
It’s tough without an Apple Watch or some kind of fitness device. I don’t find putting the iPhone in your pocket very reliable. Thanks for watching Donna!
If your Polar syncs to the Health app that would work fine. The Apple Watch doesn’t take BP. So you either add it in manually or use a device that syncs to the Health app. Hope that helps.
Hi Ellen, I have a sleep apnea and have to use the Resmed airsense 10 CPAP machine every night, is it worth to buy Apple watch for my sleep data?and how good of the App? Thank you !
I know lots of people love their Apple Watch! I do as well. I’m a former Respiratory Therapist so I know your machine well. Personally I don’t use any sleep apps but do a search there are some really good Apps out there. I think it could be useful for you. Are you using the My Air app?
I'm not a senior but I found the health app confusing at first but with your explanation seems easy to use 🙌🏻 By the way, is there a way to track flu or cold symptoms?
Hi Mauricio! Yes there is. To add a symptom: Open the Health app Tap Browse Either search for your symptom, or scroll down to the "symptom" category and browse the available options Tap Add Data in the top-right corner and choose the level of your symptom Those symptoms will be viewable on a graph to track over time. Data points will also be opened up to third-party apps that want to read or write that data. Hope that helps. Thanks for your kind words.
I do not see the Health App on my iPad. I do have it on my iPhone. In the App Store I do not see the app with a red heart white background to download. How do I get the health app?
A useful example would have been, to show how to take our heart rate blood pressure on the app instead of the ¨walking steps¨. Also how do we do the ECG. How to check the electrocardiogram?
Blood Pressure and HR can’t be taken natively on the iPhone. You can take your HR and ECG if you have an Apple Watch. This was a basic video on setting up the Health app. Sorry to disappoint.
Hi can I add a new App for my blodd pressure device to the Health App!! When I open the Data Source section it shows "NONE" but wont allow me to add another App! The bottom section shows my Apple Watches name which is NOT the source for Blood Pressure data! It's annoying even for Apple!
Yes you should be able to add an app. Try this: Add information from other apps 1 Open the Health app. 2 Tap your profile picture in the top right-hand corner . 3 Under Privacy, tap Apps. You can see apps that you already own that are compatible with Health. ... 4 Tap an app and turn on the health categories you want that app to track. Hope that helps.
I never use this app before and I google my iPhone knows my information about my health, and I found another bunch of people who experienced the same. Some how this app has some information confidential information like like I mentioned

How did you get the blood pressure notification on your list?
Hi Christina! I add my blood pressure manually.
nicely done.
Thanks Tim!
So the only way to get Blood pressure and ECG data to show on the Heath app is with an Apple Watch? I use a Polar H10 heart rate monitor chest strap.

Yes ,I am using the My Air app, but it is only a few information. Do you know any better App that you can recommend. THANKS AGAIN !@@EllensTipsForiOS
I’m sorry I don’t know any other better apps.

Share is not working even with the people who has an iPhone
Sorry to hear that. Maybe a bug in the software. You might need to reach out to Apple.
I have a problem today is 5 but in the health app is saying that is 6
I’m not sure what you’re referring too?? Can you give a more detailed description?
@@EllensTipsForiOS maybe she meant Day? 5th & 6th of whatever month, I don’t know what else it could mean
Thanks Garrett! I agree. I wish I had more information.
You didn’t share any information on how to use the app’s features like how to make the app track my steps and calories etc
Once the app is setup you should be able to track steps and calories inside the app.
@@EllensTipsForiOS will it need an Internet connection, GPS ?
It will use the accelerometer built into the device. No connection needed. Thanks for the question.
Doesn’t bother you that when you open up this app has your information that you never provide it before the exact weight height and date of birth
I’m not really sure what you’re talking about??? If I’m exercising I’m providing the information. Can you tell me what you mean? Thanks for watching.
I never use this app before and I google my iPhone knows my information about my health, and I found another bunch of people who experienced the same. Some how this app has some information confidential information like like I mentioned
My guess is you did provide your information when you setup the phone.
