I have an idea, how about the mailman scans the item as delivered when they actually deliver it. You know, kinda like UPS, Fedex, and Amazon. I actually wouldn't mind a package coming 2-3 days late, it is the false tracking that seems to just be getting worse and worse.

They only have so much budget to hire people no matter how many they deliver 2. Even if they have people, the building, tools, and delivery trucks are small and dated. Plus they only have so many trucks 3. Unlike FedEx, UPS, and Amazon, they also deal with mails including billing statement, pamphlets, and magazines so they deliver more.
It’s better to just instruct the online merchants to ship your packages via FedEx Overnight Express and charge the shipping cost to you accordingly. It’s usually those orders that come with “Free Shipping”, being offered by the e-commerce websites, that are being shipped via cheap and unreliable USPS which eventually got lost. Just ask yourself, if the wasted time and the frustration of dealing with a lost package, was worth the money being saved by getting a “Free Shipping “ deal.
im with you. im to the point of ripping this carrier out through his window and beating his ass! i legit debated it today. 5 packages this week alone! my entire court hasnt seen mail in 4 days. i have missing package cases piling up. its been all year. its this carrier. they mark delivered to keep their ratings up and then just do whatever with the package. if its gets delivered sometime cool. if not it shows delivered so oh well. its going to cause a huge issue real soon and i can only hope the judge sees my frustration and gives leniency.
The tracking says Delivered and left in a parcel locker, but I don't see the key in my mailbox. My guess is that the stupid USPS delivery guy put it in the wrong mail box.

I went down to the post office today and told them my situation and talked to my courier. My courier said she delivered the package and also said she took a picture of it. Idk if she might’ve accidentally took it back to her but imma go back over there and get them to show me the picture they took just in case it was dropped off at the wrong house. This is the third package that said “delivered - left in mailbox” and nothing was there. I am so pissed off right now. Please explain this USPS… if your drivers have GPS on their vehicles then how can’t you figure out what happened to the packages if they were delivered to the wrong address? The gps will tell you location of the delivery vehicle and at what time, then you match that up to when the package was supposedly delivered according to the tracking info. But no that would be too obvious of a solution.

@@user-ws1dh8gi4g some local post offices have bins called delivered/ in at box so when it reaches the one nearest you, once it hits p.o andcscanned its thrown in the delivered/ in box, its considered delivered. Wait a day or so, then call or go by your local p.o with tracking # and they can literally call your exact carrier & find out where or what happened to your item. They're supposed to scan item as delivered/in at box once they drop it in box buy alot dont do this or what I explained earlier has happened. Btw I got my package once I talked to my local p.o. let me know if u need any more advice.
This happened today to me with a prototype package I got notification it was delivered while I was outside and no postman in sight. You cannot reach a human when u call usps. Tried to send an email timed out all 3x . I would rather just get it late then this

This just happened to me and then i called the usps customer service line and couldnt get anyone also the local post office doesnt answer the phone these shipping companies need to be delivered other than by a human that can either deliver to a different address or steal a package and scan it as delivered

Wait the complete day for the delivery as there's a possibility that there was an accidental scan and you can expect your package soon. Wait the delivery time frame and contact the carrier to report the status and your situation. Let the company/seller know about your experience.

The seller sent a microblade thing which was very small which can fit in a mailbox and it was also addressed and sent to the wrong address. I ordered a pair of Jordans for about $140 but was purposely sent something entirely different. I contacted my local post office and they were able to send me the package. The site I bought it from, I was able to explain the situation and got a full refund.
We even had our packages stay in the main office so we can pick them up. They were delivered to the post office but stolen at the office, no carrier involved for this package. The carrier seems to end up with about 4-6 packages each month for over a year. The main office knows there is possible theft by carrier but 'Who cares" besides us.
this just happened to me today. eagerly awaiting a $430 US package. usps site said 'Delivered, In/At Mailbox' but... nothing. immediately went to the usps website > contact and opened a 'USPS Service Request'. seems like this happened a couple years ago and the package arrived the next day. will come back here and post an update...
My local PO is poorly run. they offer NO help resolving misdelivered packages,.. twice in 3 weeks. I out hundreds now, and it seems they are fine with giving my neighbors my mail.

Carrier sent an expensive package to a neighbor on another street...a known thief. I have no idea why there is even a law regarding "receiving a package that does not belong to you, but you keep, is mail theft"....all it takes is the person denying it. USPS facilitating theft. Yeah, more claims filed "on the taxpayers dime"...not "Uncle Sam's dime". Wrong verbiage there. But I intend to pursue my case, including having the carrier removed from our route. We have complained for months about misdelivered mail.

Contact seller and see if they give you any info if not ask the carrier first. This has happened to me twice and it’s a horrible feeling especially if you bought something you’ve been wanting. Saludos!

Would you contact the seller/company regarding a delivered-missing package or would you contact the carrier first?
