Another very nice use for Liquid Metal Slime that's becoming popular is as a metal slime farmer. Keep his base talent Storm Chaser, max it out. This will give him Kaboomle. Also give your Liquid Metal Slime Agi IV and Agi III. He'll have +1000 speed, and he will out-speed Metal Slimes, Liquid Metal Slimes, and King Metal Slimes. Thanks to his trait, he can bypass explosion resistance and one-shot even King Metals by using Kaboomle. You'll still want to save before any encounter in case the enemy gets a surprise round and runs, but as long as there is no surprise round, Liquid Metal Slime is guaranteed to outspeed and OHKO any other metal slime you come across. The only real downside is that his spells cost more, but just keep an eye on your MP while farming.
16:03 The reason he didnt absorb the explosion there is because the monster who cast kaboomle has ultra crafty banger. it increases explosion damage while also lowering explosion resistances.
Follow-up: I set up a metal slime with Martyr (Selfishness at 50, and adds a bit of defense and HP early), Stun Stopper (Ultra Granite Chin), and Sleep Suppressor (Ultra Insomniac). Results: Ultra Granite Chin did not change stun from “Weak” and Ultra Insomniac did not change sleep from “Weak” at all, BUT they did change the values from -75 to -25 at least. The metal slime does seem to get hit with stun pretty frequently though. I’ve not tried it against any sleep-casting enemies, but I’m not hopeful. Perhaps Metal Slime’s -75 against those is about as bad as any resistances ever get. I haven’t looked through resistances much in depth yet.
Metal Liquid and king metal are not OP if u wind up fighting something that can use extreme elemental attacks they will deal a good chunk of damage to use since most of those Mons have traits that let them deal a much larger amount of damage than normal then they will pierce also ive fought a boss with only a metal slime surviving the fight with the boss on his last 100 hp and every other attack was an attack that had a good chance to CRIT witch bypasses quite a few defenses and could hit over the metals hp easily gem slime is actually listed as the #1 Tank atm with Metal as 3rd
On the resistance screen, both Metal Slime and Liquid Metal Slime list their Death resistance as ""Immune" so would instant death attacks even work on them? so wouldn't have the Death Defiler trait not add to that, or does Immunity not work the way I think it does?
Good video, but please consider when battling you may want to showcase and narrate later to turn battle speed to low rather than fast. That would help viewers as we aren't as familiar with your units and their abilities, nor every enemy type and their abilities.
I currently have it and it's the only reason I beat the final boss. I had over 1000+ hp on everyone but that thing had 180 and kept himself alive as well as the rest of my team.
for a unit such like that who s spamming this skill to protect others, you need passiv defensive stats such as ultra guard sp (idk the name in english). You can find 3 skills in eggs only that give you (all 3 combined) all resistances of the game (debuff/elemental) but to keep selfnessness you need to choose 2
This strategy did not work for me. I'm using gem slime as tanker, but he still dies to a hit kill. And the double MP makes farming bit slow because need to return every time to tower.
Liquid Metal Slimes should be better then Metal Slimes but the DQMDP breaks the metal slime stats and balance of them, I have no clue why except it's probably rushed game development.😑
the trait "metal skin" sucks it is absolutly useless, what makes metal units strong is their base defense and immune to all elements. Moreover selfenssnss increases the incomming dmg so it s a bit like it cancels the reduce of "metal skin". But metal units are very week to stuns and sleep so you can be in trouble fast in dlc donjon for exemple or even against post game bosses. Let s say immune is ~150 res, absord is 200. There are traits/talents which reduce it a lot, a little... so a lot would be about -75, a little -25 and normal -50 so if you have all 3 talents you can go from 200 to 50 and hit a lot
Pretty sure this is completely wrong. Having a multiplier that reduces damage combined with high defense is likely providing a much greater boost than substantially increasing your defense would. Depending on when the multiplier comes in to play, it could have a far greater effect than what is listed You probably won’t notice the difference against most enemies that hit you for 0, but against very heavy hitters it would mean the difference between survival and death
@@yoyepo91 in dqmj3 this trait was useless on any metal units, basically not worth the mana. You can reach about 2000 defense with a gem slime and divine protection skills exist (egg exclusiv). You can also be immune to any kind of damage easily in one turn with buffs in pve

I have been channeling my energy into making Grandpa Slime, so I've been using Gem Slime.

In that case use 1 of those Yellow GEM slimes with Selflessness to be the one to tank the damage.

It's very possible thst it does work that way. I would just replace it with stunner stopper then as its in general much more useful

Auto-restora heals about 10% every action
I'll probably always avoid using metals,just because that is incredibly overpowered.

About that normally ONLY the weakest metal slimes can be hit by sleep even in the non monsters games with the Metal Kings being immune.
