Crewing on sail regattas like this is a great way to learn how to sail and gain experience. You also find a foothold in the community, making it easier to find more opportunities. You can then find crew opportunities on sailing yachts over the oceans and visit amazing places.

The coincidence of you getting to the IOW during Cowes week is amazing! My family used to go there for a holiday each year, none of us sailed or owned a boat, but it makes the island's atmosphere brilliant. I think the last time I went was when I was 15, and we had people coming up to me and my friend trying to recruit us of boat racing/sailing... So if you ever want to travel on a boat for free, that's the best time to do it 😂
I lost it when you arrived in 'Cowes' only for it to be East Cowes! Weirdly enough, the old floating bridge is actually in the shot from Portsmouth Harbour, the little vessel with Hempel on it. Glad to see you finally experience The Island, and Cowes especially, Harry!
