I think the interview was a lot less intense than the sketch itself. I loved it, especially the last few moments, somehow it took the edge off of the whole thing. This sketch wasn't intended for the US audience. People always make comedy out of tragedies; there are countless jokes on WWII and almost everyone laughs at them. Tragedies are bearable that way. It was probably too soon but still a part of Ylvis' history.
Click on the symbol between the clock and the gear that looks like a envelope or cc. If that doesn´t work you might have to change your settings on your computer, tablet or phone. Google "turn on closed captions" for example. I really hope this works out for you, since there are so many subtitled Ylvis videos to watch and enjoy!
talkingbowl I can´t take credit for this one, since I wasn´t involved in the process of translating and subtitling of it, it was done by Katarina H and Julia B. But on their behalf I thank you. It´s always great to hear that the efforts of the team are appreciated.
There are English subtitles. Have you tried to click on the symbol between the clock and the gear that looks like a envelope or cc? If that doesn´t work you might have to change the settings on your computer, tablet or phone. Google "turn on closed captions" or go to the support pages for the device you are using to find out how to fix this. I hope it works out, there are a lot of subtitled Ylvis videos you will miss out on otherwise.
djbethell That´s strange, that usually works... It´s good that there is no problems with other subtitled videos though. Are you able to see a symbol that looks a bit like a square with little lines on it to the left of the statistic staples and the flag? If you click that you should at least be able to read the subtitles. It´s not as good as getting it subtitled, but at least you can understand what´s being said.
The school play in the beginning is from january 2000. Bård is born in 1982, so he was going to be 18 soon. Calle is born in 1977, so he was going to be 23 that year. Btw, I think the girl to the -right- left in the front row in the beginning is Helene, Vegard's future wife. She was in this play too, and I think that's her, but I'm not sure. The other part "Ylvis og Filharmonien" is from 2002, so Bård was 20 and Vegard was 23 (or were going to be that year).
Khadijah Zul Oops, sorry... I meant to the _left_. I think Helene is the one with a black shirt and blue pants in the front row. I'm not sure though, but I think it looks like her. And she was in this play, so it's likely.
edited* ,they interviewed them about a show they were doing which involved the 9/11 events.. although there wasn't anything intense about it,but perhaps some people didn't appreciate that part :p
Holy crap Calle....So young....omg this video is gold
So young, but he already had such a deep voice.
Still 5 years older than Bård though
Fun to see Bard and Vegard from such a long time ago. I spotted Calle, too.

Yeah it looks like her! That's so sweet that they were in a play together :)
