How I storyboard for feature animated films using Photoshop layer comps

As an aspiring storyboard artist this is extremely helpful, I've always wanted to know how storyboarding worked using photoshop and there are scarce resources on the technical side of things. Thank you so much!

not really, but i think 1920x1080 at 200 dpi is a pretty safe bet

Is there a reason as to why some studios use Photoshop instead of just using Storyboard Pro???

I think they just used to use it before storyboard pro, it also allows for nicer looking storyboards, which shouldn’t really matter but sometimes studios care. Storyboard pro is much faster

any! as long as the drawing space is the correct dimensions you want the black can extend as far as you want
