    Thanks Kim. We are in a recession but the government refuses to acknowledge it. I thought it was 3 years maximum.

      Nowadays you need two jobs, a main job and a backup job. The backup job should always be a flexible job so when you lose the main job you could still had something to fall back on.

    It's funny huh when we want money we aren't sure when we'll get it as it's not a guaranteed and we still had to work for it but when corporations, bills, and the loan sharks want money they demand it immediately for pay asap and it must be guaranteed. This is such a lame situation in the USA.

    Hey Kim, if you do have the PMP certification, might I suggest looking for employment overseas? Perhaps go for a Masters' Degree at an International University and use their summer programs to gain more international experience in project management. I am getting training while overseas now, they do better training. Plus, they are more likely to hire you once you complete their training program.

    Too many trolls in these comments. Actually here to add something useful. I'm in minnesota. Check whatever your state is. If you are receiving services from places like the va if you a veteran or disability related services through your state and filing/collecting unemployment. Please call and get someone on the phone and let them know and make sure they document it. Do not assume that they will communicate with each other. Working with these services is considered job seeking activity

    27 minutes and still nothing on how to be productive, acquiring skills to make employers want you, getting side hustles or even starting a business. Just how to milk the system.

      @@GothamsFinest If you make your employer more profit and are unreplaceable, you can easily negotiate getting paid more. You exposed what kind of worker you are. Also, barely puts food on the table? Unless you are typing from some third world country, most in society are obese.
      Why don't you run your own business and take all the profits for yourself?

      There's plenty of education out there on acquiring job skills, however, this video is specifically about collecting unemployment. Unemployment is a temporary fix to bridge the gap between jobs. In this current economy, it can take months to find a job that pays enough to survive off of. It's good that you have the privilege to have never experienced being let go, and have a great paying job.

      @@kimtheintrovert4790 Is saving money for hard times something you can envision deciding to do, or is that out of the question?

    • @kimtheintrovert4790
      @kimtheintrovert4790  3 месяца назад +3

      @@akpowerlifting Of course, that's a great idea! It's not mentioned in this video because it's specifically about filing for your State's unemployment and what to expect. Also, it's good to remember that not everyone has the ability to save money. There are people who are underemployed and living in poverty, saving money is just a dream for them. Sometimes you can be very diligent with your savings and a big life event happens (health emergency, home repair, car in the shop, tax bill, etc) where you're forced to use that money. Filing for unemployment is a temporary safety net to help keep your bills paid while you find another job. It doesn't make you lazy or a bad person for collecting money that YOUR JOB paid for YOU to receive in the case that they lay you off.

      @@kimtheintrovert4790 What if I do have the will to save for much bigger events than a temporary emergency, and have invested in myself and relationships with others for hard times? And what if I do file for unemployment, but find it much easier to work as a janitor and pay my bills (even if it means lowering my standards) than to participate in forcing everyone to pay higher prices for unemployment costs?

    Why are we so laser focused on how to maximize unemployment? Get a job!!!!

      LMAO, this was funny. I appreciate the engagement, but I am confused as to why you watched a video that didn't pertain to you? Also, you didn't correctly comprehend the information. It's not about maximizing unemployment, it's about what to expect if you find yourself in the unfortunate predicament of having to file for unemployment. Lastly, getting hired these days is a lot tougher than it used to be, and it's a blessing that you haven't had to worry about that. If you ever find yourself unemployed and unable to get another job fast enough, the video will be here waiting for you 🙂

      Even with a job, I would still put out information to help others. I couldn't find helpful information when I unexpectedly found myself dropped by my company. I had to learn through trial, and I want others to have a better experience than I had.
