@@krevor4095 Which part? And don't you know preventing or delaying the negative effects means you are delaying the effects period? The negative effect is your heart pumping way to hard and fast and you can't feel the pain from it to stop yourself.
@@davidtherwhanger6795 The Marine knew this. It's part of the "lethal" nature of the Final Stand Protocol. He knew activating it was a death sentence, but to affect the rescue of the children, he still activated it. Delaying the NEGATIVE affects allowed him to do that. Wouldn't be very smart if the first thing that happens is that you die before you can do anything.
@@davidtherwhanger6795 They already HAVE something akin to this mate. A non-lethal concoction was found being used by the French in one Olympics and the Russians in another one. A version that is stronger but also lethal is also known to militaries and has been given to spec ops of multiple countries through the years. It basically eliminates all of your pain and gives you enough adrenaline to get you moving again. But you will absolutely tear yourself apart as pain is part of the limiters on human strength so our muscles don't break our own bones and organs. What you are describing is when the concoction has things like too much adrenaline. The primary point is the pain killer/blocker aspect and burst of energy. The description of the itchy skin leads me to believe it was multiple injections across the body as the most effective way is for the armor to inject the arms and legs independently with things needed for the muscles while the torso gets the pain blocker and adrenalin.
@@Nempo13 The difference here is you are talking non-lethal doses of this. When the story explicitly stated lethal doses. Lethal doses of multiple different performance enhancers not just one or two at non-lethal doses combined with a lethal amount of nitrous oxide.

Ooorah!
The Marines misnamed the "last stand" protocole, it should've been "Doom Slayer" protocole.
The only thing they fear...
We would call it that anyways. You always get the fancy names for the upper echelons
Beautiful work as always! I love your narrations.
I am a Gold Star parent to a Marine.
Thank you.
the easiest way to become a hero, but one we should all strife for when it comes down to it, not everyone can pull it off after all
God damn I love our Marines, but they can't spell for shit.

You'd think a Marine would spell sergeant correctly on a Medal of Honor citation
Chesty would have approved. Nice reference to history.
Nice story. But no way would they do that 'Last Stand' cocktail. All that at once in your system would blow your heart near instantly.
Part of the cocktail is to prevent/delay those negative effects. At least for a time.

Stun grenades? I assume these are not US Marines then.
Exactly. USMC only uses frag grenades.
Children were involved
Hostage situations cause a temporary swap of those munitions.
