Eric, its pretty interesting to see all the work it takes to produce milk and for it to get to the consumer. I actually drink clover farms milk at school, so it awesome to see where its coming from.
I’m getting addicted to this young guy’s videos because I like how the cows are treated and it’s all so interesting watching the daily routine. This farm/dairy has very expensive tricky equipment and plenty of healthy modern practice in giving the cows a good life. I’ve not seen cows comfortably laying down on rubbery lounges before, and those cow grooming-brushes are such a good idea.
I grew up dairy farming. You show the realities of every day. It's a lot of hard work, but a great lifestyle! Keep up the Great work Eric. This brings back many memories from the 1970's.
Always amazes me just how hard dairy farming really is. It’s a tough and often thankless job. I appreciate all you’re doing and thank you for sharing the REAL life of a dairy farmer.
Well that makes 3 of us! And boy our grass based system is so much simpler than the American system but maybe we should look and learn unless we shortly get rain.
nsgkuaov ya their feeding looks like some load of aids but then again this farm is very well run and they probs getting more yield from each cow then us
The irish are taking over We need our 6 counties first John we use completley differnt "tactics" we have loads of farms here but majorety of them are small
Thanks for the video this was great. I never get tired of watching the videos. That cow using the brush looked like she was about to fall asleep standing up. She had her head down. Kinda funny.
Its funny watching how some of the cows wait to stick their heads through the lockers after the feed wagon goes by, whereas others just get showered by the feed, lol.
"On today's episode of Iron Chef: Dairy Farm, our secret ingredient is... corn silage! Each competitor must prepare a balanced, five-star meal centered around this traditional staple. "Bobby Flay has created a beautiful rye-and-silage souffle, served with triticale vertes, fresh-made horseradish sauce, and steel-cut oatmeal sauteed in a balsamic vinegar/red wine reduction, garnished with a cranberry chutney. Oh, but the cows aren't touching it! I don't think they like the cilantro and olives, and Bobby really blundered with the grated artisan parmesan. "Now our bovine gourmands are judging Eric's entry. He could stand some work on his plating technique and presentation... would a little parsley really hurt? But the cows are digging in with gusto! They really like those toasted grains and the hint of molasses! You can almost watch their udders swell as they chow down.
Eric Get from Farm Supply mini 30 gal Sprayer put in back Quad can make spray bar to spray disinfectant in Cow Beds also has long Wand/ hose you can spray as you drive down ally.. plenty of reach if you gotta get out.. Bet you will LOVE IT ! I Have a 2nd Sprayer I mounted on 3 pt hitch of Lawn Mower to Spray Lawn 2-4D dicamba etc. Keep Wand handy for spraying Round up around trees buildings have set up will Spray round up on left edge of mower deck to Maintain fence lines etc (sprays as you mow) so I don't have to Trim with Weed Whip.👍
I mean all of this as a huge compliment!! If there is a time that your Dad put his head down to rest and he thought to himself , What would happen to my family’s farm if I became ill, or injured and I wasn’t able to earn a living? After asking himself that question there are two responses. One would be a cold chill and hair standing up on his spine or a huge sigh of relief. Eric there is no doubt of what you mean to this farm operation. I’m sure you are older than you look but there is no doubt if that thought raced through your fathers mind he surely would have that sigh of relief. Your work ethic is impeccable and we love your videos
Do Yall have a big beautiful light show in the forest around Christmas time? I saw videos of several walk through light displays this past a December. I think several communities were involved?
Hi Eric i have commented b4 on your knowledge n hard work. I grew up and still live in New England. You are TRULY a 10 th G dairy man. Thank you for showing the world how IMPORTANT You Are.....
My grandfather was a dairy farmer in Landisburg, PA for 40 years. I got to "help" him until he retired when I was 9 back in '94. he's still about the toughest guy I know at 93 years old, haha. This has been a great opportunity to see what was really going on and get a little top quality nostalgia going. Thanks for putting in the time to let us peek into your life! Very much appreciated.
when my life is a one big rollercoaster and every day is kind of battle, I love seeing you doing your daily chorse with a smile on your face at the same time:) it calms me down. thanks a lot for your work!
Just found your channel. Awesome. We are three Scottish 6th generation dairy farming kids from SW Scotland. We decided to document life on our farm during the pandemic as we can’t go to school!
Thank God you're uploading these videos for us to watch. Having Coronavirus updates continually on telly, over here in the UK, is doing my head in! Your dad makes me laugh. Tell him to never retire, all that work is keeping him fit.
Yes he has a great work ethic and I love how he treats the cows. He's not rough with them. Good young man right there. His parents did a great job. Great video plz keep them coming. Thank you

early 80s i would bring in my boombox to the milkhouse to play country music while milking and makes the cows so much relaxed and milk product would go up.
Eric. Awesome video. Great content real interesting to see how it all works! Like the “always drink milk” Nice 👍 👍 The feed you were putting together looked like a power bar for cows!!
Have you looked into playing music for the cows to increase production? I have seen a few reports that show good results. It seems the cows relax better listening to soft music. I would be interested in your thoughts on this. Thank you, I enjoy your videos it's comforting and relaxing to watch .
Was wondering how the new Mars are working out?? Are you still happy with them? Do you have the same number of cows in each milking group? Looks like the cows are enjoying that new brush thingy you installed for them!! Love watching them get their backs and sides scratched!! Just love your cows!! Thank you for all of the hard work you do on the farm, as well as all the hard work you do in posting all of these videos!! Especially when the cows "help" by noticing the camera and licking them to make sure they taste right!! Lol. Thank you again, Eric!!
I want these farmers to know that we are greatful for everything they do to keep dairy on my table. You guys are hard working. THANK YOU
